This was simply the best holiday I've been on and I fell in love with Jordan. The combination of a great group of fellow travelers, a stunningly beautiful country and being lucky enough to have Ogla as our guide meant everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we were all sad to leave at the end of the tour. Jordan is a fascinating country, rich in history and with a landscape that's unlike anything I'm used to (being from NZ/UK). The Jordanian people are some of the warmest, friendliest and most helpful I've encountered in years of travelling. You also couldn't find a better guide than Ogla; he took the best care of us and was full of detailed explanations and little stories to inform us about all the places we visited - as well as keeping us entertained and laughing during some of the longer stretches of travel. I absolutely loved my time in Jordan and want to thank On the Go, and particularly Ogla, for making it such a wonderful experience - I can't wait to go back. ”
Very pleased indeed with the tour - it was a well thought out itinerary that suited my needs perfectly i.e. succinct but thorough. My guide Jamilla was excellent - knowledgeable, proud of her heritage and keen to impart her culture to the group. Equally so were her organisational skills so that the tour ran smoothly at all times and we were indeed always 'on the go'. Credit to our driver Wahil too, for his patience in the traffic, a clean bus and always reliably there waiting for us, he was also willing to help with luggage and was equally hospitable and friendly. Hotels were excellent standard and again, strategically located as in Petra to enable ease of access. I've done plenty of travelling in my time with organised group tours, solo custom tours and DIY backpacker efforts and I would rate this tour on a 'flagship' level - well done On The Go!”
Ogla was absolutely amazing. His knowledge, his politeness, his warmth, his friendliness all made our trip very memorable and made us want to go back to Jordan. The tour was perfect! Cannot think of one complaint. It was a beautiful trip and a learning experience. The Jordanians were extremely amazing people as well as the food and scenery. Petra was a blast! Even in our senior years, we were able to climb Petra and Ogla was there EVERY step of the way. We felt badly, cause it took us longer and Ogla was so caring for us. On-The-Go should be proud and honored to have such a man as Ogla in your employ. Our Wadi-Rum trip was fantastic and the Bedouins were truly incredible people. This was our very first On-The-Go tour and certainly not our last. It was planned perfectly and we are so glad we decided to take this trip of a lifetime! Thank you so very much for a vacation of our lives!!! We especially want to thank Ogla for making it all possible. What a guide! ”
The tour and the tour guide were exceptional. I cannot rave more about both the tour and the tour guide. Ogla was always ready with advice of where to go after hours, what to eat and advice on the optional extras. He also showed the cuisine of his country. he went out of his way to always include everyone and was always helpful.
Great tour had had a great time.
5 stars for Ogla. ”
Dear Go on Tour!
That was the most incredible week in my life. Perfect hotels, everything organised extremely well - transfers, food etc.
Most of it was the tour guide Ogla. Wonderful person, knowledgeable, carry, funny and entertaining the same time. He has a remarkable knowledge about the history and the culture of Jordan and Middle East. He made my stay in Jordan like living a dream. All the time he goes far beyond just doing his job, it is his passion being a tour guide. Everybody felt looked after all the time. Constantly he was on a full alert for our comfort. wellbeing and safety. Five stars are just nor enough to rate him. The best tour guide ever!”
Greatest ever holiday I had. Touring around Jordan and celebrating New Year in Wadi Rum desert in Bedouin camp.
We visited many places - Umm Qays, Jerash, Karak, Petra and Amman.
We had the greatest tour guide - Ogla Nawafleh.
Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to visit Jordan.”
She was fantastic; efficient, so friendly and extremely experienced and knowledgeable.
It was a joy having a female guide, especially a Jordanian Arab female - it helped me understand far better the role and history of women in the region (something I have never got before on trips to Syria, Iran etc).
She was a formidable lady and we felt we were in capable hands throughout. Fantastic.
Above an beyond this, she welcomed us into her family and we felt as though we really were with friends as a result.
She is a skilled guide and very professional yet maintained the ability to befriend each of us and make us feel special.
A great trip, and a great guide.
The last morning in Madaba can be dropped though - trailing round mosaics is a sharp come-down after the previous week of wonders. ”
