Day 1: Amman - Petra
Welcome to Jordan we'll pick you up from the airport our first stop is at Mt. Nebo, the site from which Moses saw the Promised Land. Our next port of call is Um ar-Rasas, one of Jordan’s World Heritage sites and once an important stop on the busy caravan routes. Consider adding our Petra by Night bolt-on for a tantalizing candlelight stroll through Petra’s Siq….a romantic preview of things to come!
Day 2: Petra
Begin the day with a walk through the mysterious mile-long Siq, the narrow gorge with towering sandstone walls which leads into the ancient capital city of the Nabatean trading empire. After lunch, climb to ad-Deir , Petra’s largest carved façade. In the evening, why not try your hand at our Petra Kitchen for a cuisine course at the Petra Kitchen, where you’ll help prepare a memorable Jordanian feast.
Day 3: Petra - Wadi Rum
This morning after breakfast you have some free time to explore. Later we make a late afternoon jeep tour of this moonscape desert terrain, arriving to our remote camp site deep in the heart of the Wadi Rum. We enjoy a magical evening under the brilliant stars of the desert night sky, including a scrumptious traditional Jordanian dinner.
Day 4: Wadi Rum - Aqaba
This morning after breakfast we head to the Red Sea for our stay in Aqaba. Upon arrival and after check in to your hotel, we can organise a scuba dive for you or you can choose to just relax at the pool.
Day 5: Aqaba - Amman
Today we head back to Amman, but not before stopping off at the Dead spend time swimming, lathering up with a detoxifying mud bath and bobbing about in the ever warm mineral-rich body of water. Later that afternoon we continue to Madaba famed for it’s Byzantine mosaics, including the fascinating map of the Holy Land made in the 6th century out of two million stone pieces, after a breif tour we drive to Amman.
Day 6: Amman
This morning after breakfast, we transfer you to the airport for your onward flight back to the UK.
