Day 1: Amman - Petra
Welcome to Jordan! We will pick you up from the airport (flight arriving at 16:25) and transfer you straight through to Petra and check you into the hotel. We will then take you to Petra by Night - see this amazing site lit up by 1500 candles! (Petra by Night is Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays only).
Day 2: Petra
Welcome to the Rose City! Access to the city on our guided exploration is through the famous narrow, deep siq. The rocks then give way to the most amazing site – that of the fantastically impressive Treasury. Walking down the gravel tracks, we’ll explore the ancient Nabatean tombs and the Roman rock-carved streets lined with temples, royal tombs, staircases, arched gates and public buildings. The more intrepid can ascend to Ad Deir, better known as the monastery.
Day 3: Petra - Dana N.R.
This morning we drive to Little Petra and the Baidha Neolithic village, hidden away in the centre of a mountain, with a classical temple standing guard outside the mini-siq. We then head on to Dana Nature reserve and check yo into the lodge.
Day 4: Dana N.R. - Dead Sea
Today we have included for you a RSCN Guide who will take you out on a full day hiking in the wilds of Jordan spotting wild life and learning about native plant species. Afterwards we will transfer you to the Dead Sea and check you into the hotel.
Day 5: Dead Sea
Relax at the Dead Sea until we transfer you to Amman airport for your flight this evening.
