Day 1: Amman

Today take a city tour of Amman including the visit to the Citadel, Roman Theatre, and the vibrant Rainbow Street area to wander through Souk Jara, a weekly street market for local crafts and foods. Overnight Amman.

Day 3: Amman

Heading north, we visit Jerash, the Graeco-Roman city known as the ‘Pompeii of the East’. Built over 2,000 years ago, Jerash is widely regarded as the best-preserved city of the Decapolis, a confederation of 10 Roman cities dating from the 1st century! We’ll explore the site taking in the colonnaded street, amphitheatre, nymphaeum, forum and more before continuing to Umm Qais (Gadara), a dramatic black-basalt Roman city of the Decapolis with panoramic views over the Sea of Galilee and the Golan Heights. Day 4: Amman - Dana N.R.

Leaving Amman travel south through the city of to see the world’s largest collection of ancient mosaics. Continue on to Mt. Nebo, where Moses viewed the Promised Land, here you can take in the wonderful view of the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, Jericho and (if it's clear) Jerusalem. For the final leg of teh day continue south to Dhana for overnight. Overnight Dhana.

Day 5: Dana N.R. - Petra

Dhana Nature Reserve is a system of wadis and mountains which extends from the top of the Rift Valley down to the desert lowlands of Wadi Araba. Dhana is truly a world of natural treasures. Today enjoy a hike from Dhana in the national park. Later drive to Petra for your overnight. Day 6: Petra

Welcome to the Rose City! Access to the city on our guided exploration is through the famous narrow, deep siq. The rocks then give way to the most amazing site – that of the fantastically impressive Treasury. Walking down the gravel tracks, we’ll explore the ancient Nabatean tombs and the Roman rock-carved streets lined with temples, royal tombs, staircases, arched gates, public buildings and more the intrepid can ascend to Ad Deir better known as the monestery. Day 7: Petra - Dead Sea

This morning early we drive to Wadi Rum the moonscape terrain T. E. Lawrence rightly described as "vast, echoing and God-like." Here enjoy a 4x4 jeep tour of the vast landscape of ancient riverbeds, pastel coloured stretches of sandy desert and amazing rock formations known as jebels that rise from the desert floor, the desertscape of Wadi Rum represents some of the most stunning countryside on the planet. We then drive on to the Dead Sea. Overnight Dead Sea.

Day 8: Dead Sea

Enjoy a full day to relax at the Dead Sea. Take a dip in the unusually warm and incredibly buoyant mineral rich waters and smother yourself in Dead Sea mud. The Dead Sea, renowned for its curative powers and therapeutic qualities, is the world's oldest spa! Overnight Dead Sea.

Day 9: Dead Sea

Transfer to Allenby bridge for departure.
