Welcome to Jordan and the start of your holiday! Arriving into Amman, meet with our friendly team who are waiting to drive you to your hotel.
This morning we drive straight to Mt Nebo to see the stunning views then on to Little Petra to explore. Its just a short drive onto Petra for hotel check and time to unwind.
Get ready to be amazed! All but lost to the modern world until 1812, Petra is a real archaeological gem, full of ancient tombs and ruins ripe for the modern-day discoverer. We access Petra on horseback, through the mysterious mile-long Siq which leads to the spectacular façade of the Treasury (of Indiana Jones fame). This is just the beginning of a day filled with true adventure, where we’ll explore amazing sights such as the Street of Facades, the Theatre, Colonnaded Street, major highlight today has to be the ascent the hundreds of rock-cut steps to Ad-Deir. Better known as the Monastery.
After breakfast, we transfer to Wadi Rum for a 3 hours, 4x4 tour of the moonscape terrain which T. E. Lawrence described as “vast, echoing and God-like.” The desertscape of Wadi Rum is truly stunning with its ancient riverbeds and amazing eroded rock formations. Arriving at our remote wilderness camp, settle into your tents and enjoy being in the middle of nowhere you can go hiking from the camp until your heart is content.
We drive onward to Aqaba - Jordan’s premier Red Sea hotspot and enjoy an afternoon of R&R.
Open your eyes this morning and take a peek out the window to the magical blue of the Red Sea. Sit back and relax by the pool sipping cocktails and soaking up the sun. Here you can opt to go snorkeling or diving, to view the amazing array of aquatic life in the nearby reefs.
Today, we transfer you on Wadi Araba road to Wadi Feynan for overnight at Feynan Eco-lodge that you have booked yourself.
We will collect you at a prearranged time from Feynan and drive you to your hotel on the Dead Sea. En-route we make a stop at Bethany for an unguided visit to the Baptism Site.
Today you can enjoy a swim at the Dead Sea and perhaps tomorrow if you choose to, you also have the chance to indulge in a treatment at the spa in your hotel.
Around noon, we will transfer you to Madaba. Enjoy the afternoon independently exploring Madaba, famed for it’s Byzantine mosaics, including the fascinating map of the Holy Land made in the 6th century out of two million stone pieces and now housed in the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George.
Sadly your journey has come to an end, we will transfer you to the airport in time for your flight home.
