Welcome to Egypt and the start of your holiday. We will be there to meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel.
Today we will take you to visit the famous pyramids and lion-headed Sphinx at Giza Plateau, which are the sole survivors from the ancient Greek-listed Seven Wonders of the World. After time to go inside the Pyramids and/or ride a camel in the desert, we transfer to the necropolis of Saqqara, considered Egypt's most enduring architectural legacy. Evening at leisure.
After breakfast we head out to visit the famous Egyptian Museum. Here you can enjoy a guided tour and free time to browse. We then enjoy an in-depth tour of Old Cairo, visiting the old Coptic suspended Church and city of the dead, the oldest Synagogue of Ben Ezra, then driving to the Citadel of Saladin to visit the alabaster mosque of Mohammed Ali and the Khan El Khalili markets.
A short early morning flight down south to explore the temples of Abu Simbel, created to revere the mighty pharaonic ruler King Ramses II. After a guided tour and free time to wander we fly to Aswan. Arriving in Aswan we embark your cruiser for lunch. Afternoon touring of the Aswan High Dam and Philae. Evening on board your cruiser docked in Aswan.
Relax on the sun deck and enjoy the spectacular views, great facilities and service on board as the cruiser plies its course. Today you will disembark for a visit to The Temple of Kom Ombo which is dedicated to two gods - Sobek the crocodile God and Harveris the Sun God.
This morning a visit to Edfu, one of Egypt's best preserved temples. Afterwards, passing through the Esna Lock we will reach Luxor - Egypt's open air museum. When dusk draws near this evening enjoy an excursion to the beautiful Luxor Temple - illuminated at night time it's ripe with photo opportunities.
Today the massive pair of statues known as the Colossi of Memnon are the first monuments we will see as we arrive on the West Bank for our day of sightseeing. We then proceed to visit the Valleys of the Kings and Queens and the imposing colonnaded temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Back in Luxor enjoy time for lunch before our visit to the complex of temples at Karnak. Evening at your leisure.
This morning it's an early bid farewell to our Egypt team as you take to the sky on the morning flight to Amman (Via Cairo - DEP 06:20 am Arr:-12:00). Arriving into Amman our Jordan team will be there to meet you and transfer you to meet Mum in Madaba to enjoy lunch at the Haret el Joudna restaurant - in our opinion one of Jordan's best places to eat. Later, transfer to Petra. Arrive Petra, check into your hotel, evening at leisure.
Welcome to the Rose City! Today enjoy walking with your expert guide down the gravel tracks of this colossal wonder of the world. You will explore the ancient Nabatean tombs and Roman rock-carved streets lined with temples, royal tombs, staircases, arched gates, public buildings and much more.
This morning return to Petra for further exploration before we depart for Wadi Rum. At Rum village we board 4x4 jeeps and take a safari through the sand dunes, getting up close and personal to the surrounding scenery. Tonight, we enjoy a Jordanian dinner under the stars at our remote desert camp.
After breakfast, when you are ready we drive to Aqaba. Check into your hotel. Sit back and enjoy the Red sea.
Enjoy free time today and tomorrow on the Red Sea! You can go snorkelling, enjoy a glass bottom boat tour to see the amazing corals or simply relax on the beach.
This morning, we explore the vast well-preserved 12th century crusader castle of Al Karak. It took the Crusaders some twenty years to erect their fortified stronghold, which through the proceeding centuries withstood countless attacks and siege. Afterwards, drive to the Dead Sea to relax and float in the mineral-rich water.
