Day 1: Amman - Madaba
Collection from your hotel for Amman city tour, including visits to the Citadel, Jordan's National Archaeological Museum, the Roman theater and Folklore Museum. . Descend to the Dead Sea, lowest point on the earth's surface for floating and lunch. Then visit Mt. Nebo, from which Moses viewed the Promised Land, take in the view of the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, Jericho and (if it's clear) the distant spires and domes of the Mount of Olives, and visit the contemporary church with its display of mosaics from the succession of pilgrimage churches on this venerated spot.
Day 2: Madaba - Dana N.R.
First we visit Madaba, home to the world’s largest collection of ancient mosaics, to visit the St. George Church with its famous 6th Century map of the Holy Land, as well as the many restored Byzantine and Herodian mosaics in the Madaba Archaeological Park, Apostles' Church and Madaba Museum. Then drive to visit the huge crusader castle of Karak. We then drive to Dana and check into your lodgings.
Day 3: Dana N.R.
Walking shoes on today as your guide leads on the hike from Dana Guesthouse Feynan Eco-lodge. Enjoy the evening at Feynan.
Day 4: Dana N.R. - Petra
Morning drive to Petra - Arrival and we visit Siq al Barid ("Little Petra"), the northern Nabatean customs point outside the bounds of the city of Petra. Walk to the Baidha Neolithic site to visit one of man's earliest know agricultural settlements, over 9,000 years old. Then enjoy the evening at your hotel.
Day 5: Petra
Enjoy a full day touring in Petra, with entry by Siq and visits to the Treasury, Street of Facades, Theater, Museum and ad-Deir, Petra’s largest carved façade. Rest those tired legs with an evening at leisure at the hotel this evening.
Day 6: Petra - Wadi Rum
Morning transfer to Wadi RUm visitors centre - Here you will pick up your special arrangements for the visit into Jordan's remote wilderness region.
Day 8: Wadi Rum
We will collect you from Wadi Rum visitors centre for the transfer to Queen Alia airport in time for your flight home.
