Day 1: Marrakech
Arrival in Marrakech airport where you will be met by the On the Go guide and transferred to your Riad in the centre of town. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Perhaps you could explore the vibrant Djemaa el-Fna square in the evening with the snake charmers, story tellers, food stalls and souks all in full swing.
Day 2: Marrakech
This morning enjoy a guided tour of Marrakech, taking in all of the highlights of the Medina (old city centre) - the Koutoubia Mosque, palaces, souks and the old mellah (Jewish quartier). In the afternoon perhaps you could opt to visit the peaceful Jardins de Majorelle to relax.
Day 3: Marrakech
Free day in Marrakech. Set against the snowcapped Atlas Mountains, Marrakech has long been a travellers favourite stop-off point. After all, it is situated on ancient caravan routes. Its great pride and landmark, visible from many miles, is the Koutoubia Tower, sister to the Tower of Hassan in Rabat and the Giralda Tower in Sevillle.
Day 4: Marrakech - Essaouira
This morning we head off to Essaouira and spend the day here. You have free time to explore. A colourful fishing town situated within 15th century Portuguese fortifications. Great beaches and surf beckon. Relax on the beach or alternatively explore the UNESCO-listed medina with its various souks and woodcarving workshops. Any city gate leads to the Medina, so you’re unlikely to get lost.
Day 5: Essaouira
Enjoy a lazy day at leisure in Essaouira. Perhaps take a camel ride along the beach, try a bit of wind surfing or simply sunbathe! Tonight why not try one of the many tasty restaurants in the medina.
Day 9: Essaouira - Agadir
After a leisurely breakfast in Essaouira, we make our way south along the coastal road to the resort of Agadir where you will be taken to your Riad. The rest of the day is free.
