Today is the start of your Moroccan adventure with us. We will meet you from the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Made famous by Humphrey Bogart in the film “Casablanca”. We then have the option of visiting the stunning Hassan II mosque, it can hold 25,000 worshippers at any one time. We then head straight to Rabat to enjoy the evening atmosphere of Morocco’s capital city.
This morning after breakfast we make our way by road to Marrakech. Set against the snow-capped Atlas Mountains. No visit to the city is complete without a visit to the city’s UNESCO-listed medina & Djemaa-el-Fna, an extraordinary gathering and market place.
Today you have free time in Marrakech to go and explore the streets, go to the local markets and just sit at the pool in your hotel and relax.
Today is Christmas day, and you have the full day at your leisure to relax with your friends.
Driving through the striking Dades Valley, which extends from the High Atlas to the Jebel Sarhro range in the south, we reach the Dades Gorge - an area with beautiful towering red cliffs, winding streams and ancient kasbahs.
The morning is spent at Dades Gorge. Next head to the spectacular Todra Gorge. This rugged red canyon is just 10m wide at its narrowest point, with its cliff walls towering above at 300m high and a small glacier stream flowing through it. Relax a while or opt to scale the cliffs with a spot of rock climbing, or if its summer go horse riding. All options can booked and paid locally.
Crossing Jebel Sarhro, we drive to the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, which signify the start of the mighty Sahara Desert. On camel-back, we trek into the vast and silent Sahara, to a Berber camp. Tonight, enjoy a traditional Berber meal and sleep under the Saharan stars!
Leaving the desert, we travel through the verdant Draa valley, along the route of 1000 Kasbahs, a beautiful landscape. We continue on to Ouarzazate, which African traders once used on their journeys up to Europe. It has also been used as a film set, for Alexander the Great, The Last Temptation of Christ and The Living Daylights
In the morning we can opt to go quad biking or visit the film studio that produced Lawrence of Arabia (payable locally). We then head to Ait Benhaddou, a ‘fortified city’, situated along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech. After here we take the journey to the beautiful coastal town of Essaouira.
Enjoy a free day relaxing on the beach, topping up your tan, shopping in the quaint village souk or choose from a number of exciting optional activities such as quad biking, horse riding, surfing or wind surfing available about town.
This morning offers free time for you relax or seize the opportunity for one last dip in the Atlantic. After lunch we return to delightful Casablanca for the final night. Opt to head out with the group for a nice meal in celebration a wonderful tour.
Today is the end of your Moroccan adventure. We will transfer you from the hotel for your onward flight home.
