Welcome to Morocco and the start of your amazing adventure. We will meet you at the airport and drive you to Marrakech to check into your hotel.
Leaving Marrakech we drive into the High Atlas mountains past Ouarzazate and the Skoura plantatio with a chance to see Kasbah Amerdhil. We then continue along the foothills of the mountains to the Gorge Du dades.
The morning is spent at Dades Gorge where you can choose to partake in a leisurely walk/hike through the simple local villagesand foothills of the gorge. After a hearty lunch we drive onward to Todra Gorge. The gorge is one of the most dramatic sights to be seen anywhere in Morocco.
We drive to the desert, passing Rissani and the lines of Khettara wells dug into the rocky Hamada desert. Reaching Merzouga at the foot of the great Erg Chebbi dune. Meet camel team and ride off to the desert camp in the middle of the dunes (Dinner included) Overnight under a blanket of stars at our remote berber camp.
Maybe an early start to see the sun rise over the dunes before meeting the transport to follow the desert road to Nkob and the valley of Draa at Agdz. Heading Northward along the palmeries and ruined kasbahs of the Draa valley to the rockier landscape surrounding Ouarzazate .
A morning visit to the world heritage site of Ait benhaddou before heading over the 3000m plus passes of the High Atlas with fantastic views of the Highest peaks and fertile valleys. If there is no snow, visit the “lost” palace of the Glaoui at Telouet near the highest pass we then descend to Marrakech.
Enjoy a morning guided tour of the souks and palaces of the medina in the morning before having a free afternoon to explore further.
We say farewell today with a transfer to the airport in Marrakech for your flight home.
