Day 1: Marrakech - Gorge du Dades
Today your On the Go arrangements begin as you are collected from your hotel in Marrakech. We then make our way over the High Atlas to Ouarzazate via the Ait ben haddou kasbah. We continue along the valley of the roses to Gorge du Dades (approx 7-8 hrs travel).
Day 2: Gorge du Dades - Erg Chebbi
Onwards to the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi at the edge of the mighty Sahara desert. (6-7 hrs travel).
Day 3: Erg Chebbi - Ouarzazate
Leaving the desert, we travel through the verdant Draa valley, along the route of 1000 Kasbahs, a beautiful landscape. We continue on to Ouarzazate, which African traders once used on their journeys up to Europe. Ouarzazate has a large film studio where films such as Alexander the Great, The Last Temptation of Christ and The Living Daylights have been produced. (7-9hrs travel).
Day 4: Ouarzazate
In the morning you can opt to go quad biking or visit the film studio that produced Lawrence of Arabia (book and pay locally). This afternoon, on our way back to Marrakech, we explore Aït Benhaddou, a ‘fortified city’, situated along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech. After exploring this incredible site we journey back to magical Marrakech.
