Welcome to Morocco! We will be there to meet you on arrival into Casablanca and will check you into the hotel.
Today we enjoy a half day tour of Casablanca. Made famous by Humphrey Bogart in the film “Casablanca”. We will visit the stunning Hassan II mosque, which has the tallest minaret and the third largest mosque in the world, it can hold 25,000 worshippers at any one time. You will then have free time to continue exploring on your own.
The sightseeing continues today – taking the short journey to Rabat, the Capital of Morocco and the second largest city after Casablanca. We will spend the afternoon exploring with the guide this peaceful city and the ancient medina, with its pretty white and stone washed buildings.
You have this morning in Rabat to explore. We then depart for Meknes and you stop here for a chance to explore. We then continue to Volubilis where you have time to explore the Roman ruins before continuing to Fes.
Fes, the oldest and largest medieval city in the world, Fes is a bustling hive of activity. The medina is a must – a heady mix of aromas, sounds and sights from the tanneries, spice tubs, carpets, pottery and leather goods. You have this morning with a town guide, and then a free afternoon.
This morning we journey over the Moyen Atlas to Midelt, which is a beautiful alpine area. Surrounded by huge pine trees, this tranquil mountain setting is a great spot to cool down and relax after the hustle and bustle of Fes. This afternoon we soak up the scenery on a short hike.
Today we have a trip over the Middle Atlas to the High Atlas Mountains and the Gorge du Ziz. After the High Atlas, the plain of Errachidia dissolves into the Sahara and the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. We travel by camel (or you can walk beside the camels) to our Berber camp for the night.
A day to explore the sandunes and the great Erg Chebbi, perhaps take in sunset or sunrise over the dunes before heading back to your hotel.
A drive along the edge of the Saghro Mountains you have the chance to see the Todhra gorge before heading up the Valley of the Roses and the Amerdhil Kasbah.
Over the high Atlas today after spending the morning at the famous Kasbah of Ait ben haddou. We arrive into Marrakech by this evening. No visit to the city is complete without a visit to the city’s UNESCO-listed medina - Djemaa el Fna, an extraordinary gathering and market place.
Today we transfer you to Essaouira. On reaching this charming coastal town, a chance to see the harbour, beach and medina in your free time.
After a morning in Essaouira, you'll be transferred to Marrakech. On the way back its possible to stop at an Argan oil co-operative to see how the argan nuts from all the forests around Essaouira are converted into oils and soaps. Arrive back in time for some last minute souvenir shopping.
