Heading out of the city this morning, visit the ancient Roman city of Volubilis in the foothills of the Middle Atlas mountains. Incredible mosiacs, gates, villas and the forum still remain. Afterwrds return to Fes for your overnight. Overnight Fes.
After an early breakfast you will begin your ascent across the Middle Atlas Mountains. Most of the day will be spent winding your way through the beautiful forests, jagged rock faces, and Berber villages as you cross the Atlas Mountains and begin to descend into the Sahara Desert for your overnight, as its going to be too hot for camping you will spend the night in the Auberge Les Portes du desert . Leaving Merzouga and travelling to Ouarzazate along the foothills of the high Atlas you will visit the gorges of Todhra and possibly Amerdhil Kasbah on the way. Before arriving in Ouarzazate nicknamed The door of the desert. Overnight Ouarzazate.
After an early start we transfer over the High Atlas and make our way to Marrakech. On the way we will visit the world heritage site of the Kasbah Ait ben Haddou.
