Day 1: Casablanca

Welcome to Morocco. Upon arrival at Casablanca airport you'll be met by our friendly local team and transferred to your hotel in the centre of town. The afternoon is free to explore the city.

Day 2: Casablanca - Rabat

Today we travel to Rabat, but first a visit to the Hassan 2 Mosque, which has the tallest minaret and is the third largest mosque in the world - it can hold 25,000 worshippers at any one time. Arrive into Rabat and enjoy some free time to relax.

Day 3: Rabat

Today we spend the day with your guide exploring in Morocco’s capital city Rabat and visit some of the highlights of Rabat, including the impressive Chellah - a necropolis and complex of ancient, medieval ruins.

Day 4: Rabat - Fes

Travelling towards the imperial city of Fes, we make a stop in Meknes, also know as the Versailles of Morocco. Surrounded by fertile ground, coupled with its impressive buildings and history, we can see why Meknes is one of the four Imperial Cities of Morocco. We’ll then move on to bustling Fes this afternoon stopping on route in Volubilis for a guided tour. Fes is the oldest and largest medieval city in the world. Its medina is a heady mix of aromas, sounds and sights. To navigate, follow one of the five themed tourist circuits.

Day 5: Fes

Fes is the oldest and largest medieval city in the world and its medina is a cacophony of aromas, sights and sounds. Today we enjoy a guided tour of Fes el Bali - the old walled city and visit the dye-pits, tanneries. This afternoon explore at your leisure.

Day 6: Fes - Midelt

This morning we journey over the Moyen Atlas to Midelt, which is a beautiful alpine area. Surrounded by huge pine trees, this tranquil mountain setting is a great spot to cool down and relax after the hustle and bustle of Fes. This afternoon we soak up the scenery on a short hike.

Day 7: Midelt - Erg Chebbi

Today we enjoy a scenic drive to Merzouga the start of our entry into the mighty Sahara Desert. Here, we transfer to camels for a trek into the Sahara Desert for a night at our Berber Camp. We enjoy local food, music and an amazing night out under the Saharan stars.

Day 8: Erg Chebbi - Dades Gorge

Leaving the desert, we travel on to Todra Gorge. This 1000ft gorge is surrounded by towering vertical limestone cliffs and is known as Morocco’s Grand Canyon. The charm of Todra lies in its changing colours as the sun slowly moves from east to west. There’s time to explore the gorge before we continue on to scenic Dades Gorge, where we spend the night.

Day 9: Dades Gorge - Marrakech

En route back to Marrakech today we stop to explore Ait Benhaddou, an incredible ancient fortified kasbah which has featured in many a blockbuster movie, including Gladiator and Laurence of Arabia.

Day 10: Marrakech

We take a guided tour and see the sights of Marrakech, Morocco's fourth Imperial City. Inside the rose coloured medina walls is a tangle of winding streets and alleys that open onto verdant gardens and bustling souks. At the heart of the medina is Djemaa El Fna, the city's exuberant market place and towering over it, is the famous Koutoubia Mosque, the tallest building in the city. The rest of the day is free to explore the city.

Day 11: Marrakech - Essaouira

Enjoy the day at leisure to explore the city. Later afternoon we drive you 2.5 hours to the lovely seaside town of Essaouira.

Days 12-13: Essaouira

Today and tomorrow relax here and enjoy romantic walks on the beach and cosy dinners. Originally encircled by the old walls, the town of Essaouira has now extended beyond the walls, but the town is still small enough to explore on foot.he beach is in front of the Medina and there are plenty of cafés with terraces. Blue doors and window frames abound as do the artists shops and jewellery stalls. Islands are scattered around, dramatic with their rocky shores and crashing waves. Relaxing in Essaouira is the perfect antidote to the bustle of the Imperial cities.

Day 14: Essaouira

Today it is a 3 hour transfer to Casablanca airport in time for your flight home.
