Welcome to Morocco! On arrival in Marrakech you will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours free to explore and become accustomed with your new surroundings. Overnight-Raid Les Princesses
This morning we set out on a guided tour of Marrakech. We discover the palais bahia, the magic souks and metal working souk, explore the Kasbah area, vie the Koutoubia mosque (non Muslims not permitted to enter) and the Jamna e Fnaa. The afternoon is free to further explore at your own leisure, perhaps re visit one of the rambeling souks to further explore! Overnight- Raid Les Princesses
This morning we depart for the High Atlas mountains and the village of Ourigane. The small Berber Villiage, approx 1000 m above sea level is a hype of activity every Thursday when local families flock form the mountains above to the souk! Today we explore the area with a short walk around the lake and village in the afternoon before relaxing for the evening. Overnight- RaidTatfi
Today we take a day walk around the local Berber houses discovering how the locals truly live. We also wander around the forests and the foothills of the area. Perhaps you may opt to take a visit to the salt pans nearby or simply relax and enjoy village life. Overnight- Raid Tatfi
Today we visit the Tinmel Mosque, built to commemorate the founder of Almohad dynasty around 1156 the Mosque is one of two in Morocco that allow non- Muslims to enter. We then descend the famous Tizi n Test road along the foothills of the Atlas towards Ouarzazate where we spend the evening.
This morning we travel along the Skoura Valley to the gorges of Dades and Todra. We then continue to the Merzouga where we mount our camels for a camel trek into the Sahara desert camp for the evening. As it will be very hot and uncomfortable at this time of year (even at night) you may wish to upgrade to a local hotel with air conditioning.
Today we continue on from the desert over th High Atlas. We take in the sights of the Gorges of the Ziz, where caves can be seen cut into the rock which both help protect the area from flooding and are used for crop storage. We continue onto Midelt- centre of a large agricultural hinterland and home to mining of several minerals, Midelt is located on the plains between the High Atlas and the Middel Atlas Mountains.
Today we drive over the Middle Atlas passing though vast cedar forests which are intersected by deep valleys. We travel down the plains to Fez where we relax for the evening.
Today we take a morning tour of Fes medina. The second largest city in Morocco fez has a population of approximately one million people. The Fes medina is considered to be the worlds largest car free urban area. Our tour takes in the local souks, palaces and tanneries. This afternoon and the next 3 days are your free to explore Fes. Our arrangements will end upon arrival at the airport on the 10th August after a departure transfer.
