Today a visit to the incredible pyramids and Sphinx at Giza Plateau. It’s estimated the largest - Khufu (Cheops) was constructed from no less than 2.5 million quarried limestone blocks, weighing around 6 million tonnes. No mean feat, when you consider the pyramids were built without the use of modern equipment! Maybe opt for a camel ride. Travelling on to the necropolis of Saqqara, innumerable sand strewn temples and tombs await discovery. It’s at Saqqara where you’ll see Zhoser’s step pyramid. Rising 6 steps, it served as the prototype for ancient Egypt’s most enduring architectural legacy. Overnight train to Luxor.
After your arrival transfer and some free time to relax we visit the magnificent Temple of Karnak. More than a temple, it’s a gigantic and stunning complex of sanctuaries and pylons dedicated to the Theban gods. This evening we visit the beautifully illuminated Luxor temple where you can enjoy a guided explanation of the site and some free time to explore.
Today the massive pair of statues known as the Colossi of Memnon are the first monuments we will see as we arrive on the West Bank for our sightseeing. We then proceed to visit the Valleys of the Kings and Queens and the imposing colonnaded temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Evening enjoy sailing on a Felucca boat to take in the scenery and sunset.
This morning you will fly back to Cairo. Arrival and we head out to visit the famous Egyptian Museum, here you can enjoy a guided tour and free time to browse and explore the famed treasures of King Tutankhamen. We then enjoy an in-depth tour of Old Cairo, visit the old Coptic suspended Church and city of the dead, the oldest Synagogue of Ben Ezra, drive to the Citadel of Saladin, and visit the alabaster mosque of Mohammed Ali and more. Tonight you will enjoy Nile dinner cruise for 3 hours.
We will transfer you to the airport in time for your direct flight to Casablanca on arrival there our local team will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Afternoon at leisure to explore the town.
Today we head in land and get confronted by the Atlas mountain range enjoy the scenic drive to your base here with amazing views and great ambience.
Day at leisure from here you can go horse riding, hiking or simply relax at the lovely hotel enjoying the scenery and fresh mountain air.
This morning depart through the spectacular Atlas mountains where you can admire the views. Arrive Marrakech and check into your hotel.
This morning enjoy a guided tour of Marrakech, taking in all of the highlights of the Medina (old city centre) - the Koutoubia Mosque, palaces, souks and the old mellah (Jewish quartier). In the afternoon enjoy free time perhaps for a visit to the peaceful Jardins de Majorelle to relax.
Morning transfer to Casablanca. Today we enjoy a half day tour of Casablanca. Made famous by Humphrey Bogart in the film “Casablanca”. We will visit the stunning Hassan II mosque, which has the tallest minaret and the third largest mosque in the world, it can hold 25,000 worshippers at any one time. Onward transfer for your evening flight home.
