Day 1: Marrakech

Welcome to Morocco and the start of your holiday! You will be met at the airport by our local representative and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 2: Marrakech

This morning enjoy a guided tour of Marrakech around the souks and palaces of the old medieval medina. Set against the snow-capped Atlas Mountains, its great pride and landmark is the Koutoubia Tower, sister to the Tower of Hassan in Rabat and the Giralda Tower in Seville. It is said that after the third of these was completed, the sultan had the eyes of his architect put out, lest he should build another more beautiful tower elsewhere. This afternoon is free for you to wander around the bustling souks or simply relax.

Day 3: Marrakech - High Atlas

Leaving Marrakech behind we travel along the foothills of the High Atlas to Demnate (around 2.5 hour drive) Spend the whole afternoon in the area where you will have the change to visit a couple of berber villages. Perhaps stop for tea in a berber house, your guide can introduce you to some villagers. Spend the night in the beautiful Kasbah Tizouit in the mountains with views over the Demnate Valley.

Day 4: High Atlas - Meknes

After breakfast we visit the waterfalls of the Cascades D’Ouzoud, if there is time we will stop at Bin El Ouidine Dam near Beni Mellal for beautiful views over the water and mountains. Head down the plains to visit the Orange Groves of Afourar where there will be time to stop for tea in a berber house here. Continue on to the Imperial City of Meknes, which became known as the Versailles of Morocco due to its impressive buildings and elaborate monuments. On arrival into Meknes you will have free time to explore the city at your own pace. (4.5-5 hours driving)

Day 5: Meknes - Fes

Take a leisurely day visiting the Roman ruins of Volubilis and the sacred town of Moulay Idriss. Volubilis is the largest ancient site of Morocco. UNESCO-listed, the site dates back to AD40 and once ruled the entire Roman province of Mauritania. Continue on to the Imperial City of Fes a bustling hive of activity, a visit to the medina is a must, explore the tanneries, souks and potteries. (around 2.5 hours driving time)

Day 6: Fes

Fes is the oldest and largest medieval city in the world and its medina is a cacophony of aromas, sights and sounds. Today we enjoy a guided tour of Fes and learn the fascinating history of the city. The afternoon is free for you to relax or further explore independently.

Day 7: Fes - Rabat

Today we take the scenic route north of Fes and towards the coast, travel down the coast through the eucalyptus forest of Mamora to Rabat. Spend the rest of the day independently exploring this peaceful city and the ancient medina, with it's pretty white and stone washed buildings. (around 3.5 hours drive)

Day 8: Rabat

Today you have a free day to explore Rabat. Perhaps visit the Chellah which has interesting musuems and the Kasbah des Oudayias in the medina. In the afternoon your driver can take you to the older town of Sale with the great mosque and its shrines if you wish.

Day 9: Rabat

Your tour with us comes to an end today, you will be transferred to Casablanca airport in time for your departure flight.
