Day 1: Tangier - Chefchaouen
Today, on arrival into Tangier, please make your way to the main gates of the harbour. (Tangier MED or Tangier city) Here you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time in Tangier, you may have time to see the old medina and souks. Overnight Dar Sultan or similar.
Day 2: Chefchaouen
Departing the hustle and bustle of Tangier, we head to the rif mountains to Chefchaouen, a haven of peace and tranquillity. High up in the rif mountains, Chefchaouen is a beautiful blue door and white-walled medina that was originally a Berber post. The main square is the heart of Chefchaouen, with the Kasbah (built back in the 18th century), central mosque and cafes with authentic Moroccan style menus. Overnight Hotel Parado or Similar)*please note there are no 5* properties in Chefchaouen.
Day 4: Chefchaouen - Fes
A morning to explore Chefchaouen and onwards to the medieval city of Fes, passing the Rif mountains. The oldest and largest medieval city in the world, Fes is a bustling hive of activity. Overnight Riad Maison Bleue or similar
Day 5: Fes - Meknes
Today you have the full day to explore Fes, the souks, palaces and of course the medina. The medina is a must – a heady mix of aromas, sounds and sights from the tanneries, spice tubs, carpets, pottery and leather goods. To navigate, follow the tourist circuits. Day 6: Meknes - Marrakech
Departing early, we will take a tour of the Roman ruins at Volubilis, the largest ancient site of Morocco. UNESCO-listed, the site dates back to AD40 and once ruled the entire Roman province of Mauritania. We will also visit Moulay idriss before stopping for the afternoon and night in Meknes, another Imperial City. Overnight Riad Palais Didi
Day 7: Marrakech
Travelling to Marrakech via Casablanca today. You can choose to stop off to see the Hassan II mosque in Casablanca. Once in Marrakech, the focal point is the central square, the Djemâa-el- Fna, an extraordinary gathering and market place. Full of colour, spicy aromas and traders it is best seen in the evening when overflowing with food stalls, dancers, acrobats, fortune tellers, musicians and henna artists. Day 8: Marrakech
Today your on the go arrangements end with check out at the hotel. You have the rest of the day to explore.
