Day 1: Marrakech

Welcome to Morocco and the start of your holiday! You will be met at the airport by our local representative and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 2: Marrakech

This morning enjoy a guided tour of Marrakech around the souks and palaces of the old medieval medina. Set against the snow-capped Atlas Mountains, its great pride and landmark is the Koutoubia Tower, sister to the Tower of Hassan in Rabat and the Giralda Tower in Seville. It is said that after the third of these was completed, the sultan had the eyes of his architect put out, lest he should build another more beautiful tower elsewhere. This afternoon is free for you to wander around the bustling souks or simply relax.

Day 3: Marrakech - Rabat

Today we travel over the small hills or jblets that surround the city of Marrakech and across the plains to Casablanca, made famous by Humphrey Bogart in the film “Casablanca”. See the stunning Hassan II mosque, which has the tallest minaret and the third largest mosque in the world, before making the short journey to Rabat for the night. Overnight Hotel Pietri

Day 4: Rabat - High Atlas

This morning we visit the almost mystical Chellah which has interesting museums, and the Hassan Tower before travelling south to the High Atlas Mountain (around 4.5 hours drive) We take the road into the foothills of the impressive mountains to see the waterfalls of the Cascades D’Ouzoud. Take a walk to the bottom of the falls and see the Barbary apes that live here. The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure.

Day 5: High Atlas - Fes

Wind down through the mountain road to the lac bin el Ouidine near Beni mellal before continuing on to the Roman city of Volubilis, the largest ancient site of Morocco. UNESCO-listed, the site dates back to AD40 and once ruled the entire Roman province of Mauritania. Continue on to the Imperial City of Fes a bustling hive of activity, a visit to the medina is a must, explore the tanneries, souks and potteries.

Day 6: Fes

Fes is the oldest and largest medieval city in the world and its medina is a cacophony of aromas, sights and sounds. Today we enjoy a guided tour of Fes and learn the fascinating history of the city. The afternoon is free for you to relax or further explore independently.

Day 7: Fes - Chefchaouen

Travel through the foothills of the Rif mountains to reach Chefchaouen which boasts a beautiful blue door and white-walled medina that was originally a Berber post. The main square is the heart of Chefchaouen, with the Kasbah (built back in the 18th century), central mosque and cafes with authentic menus. The afternoon and evening is free to explore this picturesque town.

Day 8: Chefchaouen - Tangier

After a leisurely morning, we drive to Tangier on the Atlantic coast. Tangier is an ancient port steeped in history as it used to guard the entrance to the Mediterranean. It has a very busy medina and new town.

Day 9: Tangier

You will be transferred to the airport or port where your tour with us comes to an end.
