Day 1: Marrakech

Arrival in Marrakech airport where you will be met by the On the Go guide and transferred to your hotel or Riad in the centre of town

Day 2: Marrakech

This morning enjoy a guided tour of Marrakech, taking in all of the highlights of the Medina (old city centre) - the Koutoubia Mosque, palaces, souks and the old mellah. In the afternoon perhaps a visit to the peaceful Jardins de Majorelle to relax

Day 3: Marrakech - Rabat

Today we take the 1st class train to Morocco’s capital city Rabat, evening free to explore this great city.

Day 4: Rabat - Meknes

This morning you can visit Chellah, Hassan and the Medina before we continue north to Meknes by train

Day 5: Meknes - Fes

This morning explore independently Meknes before heading off by train to the oldest imperial city in Morocco - Fes

Day 6: Fes

Fes is the oldest and largest medieval city in the world and a bustling hive of activity. This morning take a guided tour around the incredible, old medina - a heady mix of aromas, sounds and sights from the tanneries, spice tubs, pottery and donkeys! Enjoy free time in the afternoon to explore independently.

Day 7: Fes

Today we will take you to visit the Roman ruins at Volubilis, the largest ancient site of Morocco. Later on we back to Fes

Day 8: Fes - Merzouga

After an early breakfast you will begin your ascent across the Middle Atlas Mountains. Most of the day will be spent winding your way through the beautiful forests, jagged rock faces, and Berber villages as you cross the Atlas Mountains and begin to descend into the Sahara Desert past Erfoud to Merzouga and night in Berber camp in desert

Day 9: Merzouga - Ouarzazate

This morning, we watch the sunrise and trek out of the desert- a chance to see the differing colours of the desert with the sunrise. We will transfer to Ouarzazate via the Gorge du Todhra and the valley of the Roses.

Day 10: Ouarzazate - Marrakech

After an early start we transfer over the High Atlas and make our way to Marrakech. On the way we will visit the world heritage site of the Kasbah Ait ben Haddou. You have tonight to watch the city transform into the evening in the square Jamna el Fnaa.

Day 11: Marrakech

Spend the morning relaxing or picking up a few last minute souvenirs. Later on we will transfer you to the airport for your departure flight
