Today we will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the famous UNESCO Listed kasbah of Ait benhaddou, which is situated in Souss-Massa-Draa on a hill along the Ouarzazate River. Films such as Lawrence of Arabia, Jesus of Nazareth and Gladiator were all filmed at Ait Benhaddou, which was once a significant stop for traders carrying gold, salt and slaves along the famous Southern Caravan route moving through the Sahara.
Today we travel along the valley of the Roses, stop at Amerdhil Kasbah in Skoura and onwards to the Gorge du Todra. This 1000ft gorge is hemmed in on all sides by vertical limestone cliffs and is also called Morocco’s Grand Canyon.
Travel along the foothills of the High Atlas to arrive at the the Erg Chebbi dunes renowned for their incredible height and size. In parts the vast sand pile reaches skyward to heights of 150 metres! Transfer to our camels to trek across the vast sand dunes of the Sahara to our remote Berber Camp - an experience that is guaranteed to leave a lasting impression. Tonight enjoy a local meal, music and an amazing night out under the Saharan stars.
This morning consider getting up early to watch the sun rise over the sand dunes for a magical experience. We head north from the desert into the High Atlas Mountains, through the Cedar forests that cloak the hills and past the Gorge Du Ziz. Continue onto the Imperial city of Fes.
Fes is the oldest and largest medieval city in the world and a bustling hive of activity. This morning take a guided tour around the incredible, old medina - a heady mix of aromas, sounds and sights from the tanneries, spice tubs, pottery and donkeys! Enjoy free time in the afternoon to explore independently.

Drive past the foothills of the Rif mountains to the ‘blue city’ of Chefchaouen which boasts a beautiful blue door and white-walled medina that was originally a Berber post. The main square is the heart of Chefchaouen, with the Kasbah (built back in the 18th century), central mosque and cafes with authentic menus. Spend time this afternoon exploring the medina. Leaving Chefchaouen travel to Meknes via the Roman ruined city of Volubilis. At Volubilis you will see the ruins of the Roman city, past the fields of lentils and chickpeas, into the hills around this well preserved city where its possible to explore the mosaics and forum.
