Welcome to Morocco and the start of your journey exploring the Land of the Berbers! Heading out of the city we head north along the scenic Atlantic Coastal Road to Kenitra where we stop to explore before continuing our drive to Chefchaouen.
Enjoy a day at leisure in Chefchaouen, a haven of peace and tranquility. Discover the medina of Chefchaouen, the silk and wool weaving quarter, the main square with its cafes, and the souks. Perhaps barter for a kilim in the market, where you can get some great deals!
Today we enjoy a scenic drive through the Rif Mountains to the imperial city of Fes.
Fes is the oldest and largest medieval city in the world and a bustling hive of activity. This morning take a guided tour around the incredible, old medina - a heady mix of aromas, sounds and sights from the tanneries, spice tubs, pottery and donkeys! Enjoy free time in the afternoon to explore independently.
Today we have a breathtaking road journey through both the Middle Atlas and High Atlas mountains making short stops along the way at your discretion. Arriving at Merzouga, meet up with the camp team who will be leading you into the desert by camel. Tonight sit back and witness the Geminid meteor shower.
Spend the day at leisure wandering the desert, or perhaps climbing the Erg Chebbi Sand Dune. Tonight sit back and witness the Geminid meteor shower.
We head back to town and embark your vehicle for the scenic road journey to the Gorge Du Dades. Arriving here, you have to time to explore the gorge. (OVERNIGHT AT THE HOTEL TOMBOCTOU)
The journey continues along the valley of the Roses and the Skoura oasis, passing Amerdhil Kasbah to our destination for the night, which is Ouarzazate.
This morning we visit Ait Benhaddou, an ancient fortified city, boasting beautiful examples of Kasbahs, some of which remain inhabited today. Granted UNESCO World Heritage Listing, the site has been the setting for many films including Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator. When ready we drive our way to Marrakech, arriving later in the evening.
This morning enjoy a guided tour or Marrakech, taking in all of the highlights of the Medina (old city centre) - the Koutoubia Mosque, palaces, souks and the old mellah (Jewish quartier). In the afternoon enjoy free time, perhaps pay a visit to the peaceful Jardins de Majorelle to relax.
Morning or afternoon the choice is entirely yours, we will transfer to Casablanca for your last night in Morocco.
Sadly your journey has come to an end, we will transfer you to Casablanca Airport in time for your flight home.
