We will mete you at your hotel and transfer you through to Essaouira and to your hotel.
We will drive you along the coast past Oualidia and on to Casablanca and to your hotel.
Today we enjoy a half day tour of Casablanca. Made famous by Humphrey Bogart in the film “Casablanca”. We will visit the stunning Hassan II mosque, which has the tallest minaret and the third largest mosque in the world, it can hold 25,000 worshippers at any one time. We'll also wander the local streets and markets. Free time in the afternoon.
After a leisurely breakfast we will make our way to Rabat, Morocco's political capital since indendance in 1956. We will then continue on to Fes via the Roman city of Volubilis, which is well worth a visit for a couple of hours. Volubilis features the best preserved ruins in this part of northern Africa.
Fes is the oldest and largest medieval city in the world and a bustling hive of activity. This morning you have a guided tour around the incredible, old medina - a heady mix of aromas, sounds and sights from the tanneries, spice tubs, pottery and donkeys! Enjoy free time in the afternoon to explore independently.
Heading out of the city this morning, visit the ancient Roman city of Volubilis in the foothills of the Middle Atlas mountains. Incredible mosiacs, gates, villas and the forum still remain. In the afternoon, see the town of Moulay Idriss, only open to non muslims in recent history and named after the founder of Fes. We drive you back to Fes.
Today we have a trip over the Middle Atlas to the High Atlas Mountains and the Gorge du Ziz. After the High Atlas, the plain of Errachidia dissolves into the Sahara. We transfer you to your accommodation in Merzouga.
After a chance to see the sunrise over the dunes we depart. We leave the desert and head onto Gorge Du Dades and Tinerhir.
We continue on through the Valley of the Roses to Ouarzazate, which African traders once used on their journeys up to Europe. Ouarzazate has a large film studio where films such as Alexander the Great, The Last Temptation of Christ and The Living Daylights have been produced.
After an early start we transfer over the High Atlas and make our way to Marrakech. On the way we will visit the world heritage site of the Kasbah Ait ben Haddou. Why not watch the city transform into the evening in the square Jamna el Fnaa.
This morning enjoy a guided tour of Marrakech, taking in all of the highlights of the Medina (old city centre) - the Koutoubia Mosque, palaces, souks and the old mellah (Jewish quartier). In the afternoon perhaps a visit to the peaceful Jardins de Majorelle to relax
