Day 1: Rabat

Upon arriving at the Casablanca airport you will be transferred to your hotel in Rabat where you have the rest of the day at your leisure to explore the capital city of Morocco or relax at your hotel for your upcoming adventure. This evening, enjoy a complimentary welcome dinner and Moroccan mint tea with an orientation meeting with your tour guide. OVERNIGHT: Hotel La Pietri or similar

Day 2: Rabat - Fes

This morning, enjoy a city tour of Rabat. View the Royal Palace and the ancient ruins of Chellah, the Oudaya Kasbah, and the Hassan Tower. En route to Fez, stop and visit the ancient ruins of the Roman city of Volubilis where you will get a chance to see the impressively preserved original mosaics, Roman Road, and city layout. While traveling through the Moroccan countryside, pass by the Holy City of Moulay Idriss for a photo opportunity. This evening, upon your arrival in Fez, enjoy a short bus tour outside the old Medina of Fez -truly an extraordinary place. If you ever want to feel completely out of touch with the western world, this is the place to go!

Day 3: Fes

Today you enjoy a full day at leisure to bravely wander the old medina yourself or choose to take to guided optional tour where you have the opportunity to visit the many hidden treasures of the medina that only a Moroccan guide can know. Fez is particularly famous for its tanneries and the Fes el Bali Medina. This tour also takes you to the Attarine Medersas, Moulay Idriss mausoleum, and the Nejjarine Fountains. Opportunities for shopping for authentic Moroccan carpets and ceramic works will be provided.

Day 4: Fes

Day excursion through the Rif mountain foothills to the city of Chefchaouen or the Blue city, named after the Rif mountains that surround it (translation: look at the peaks). The blue colour comes from the blue/white paint that covers the buildings in the old medina, introduced by the Jewish inhabitants that lived there in the 30’s. Return to Fes in the evening.

Day 5: Fes - Erfoud

Follow the old caravan trail south. Stop for lunch in Midelt, a market town set in the high plains between the Middle and High Atlas mountain ranges. Continue along the palm-fringed Ziz Valley, famous for date cultivation, to the Tafilalt oasis on the edge of the Sahara Desert. Your day ends in Erfoud, where beautiful views across the shimmering Sahara have made this a popular location with filmmakers. OVERNIGHT: Kasbah Xaluca or similar

Day 6: Erfoud - Ouarzazate

Travel west to Tinghir, one of the most beautiful oases in southern Morocco. Continue through part of the Todra Gorge and cut through the mountains for one of the most dramatic views in the country! Follow the route of a thousand Kasbahs to Ouarzazate, the setting for a number of famous movies including Lawrence of Arabia, Cleopatra and Gladiator. OVERNIGHT: Kenzi Azghor or similar

Day 7: Ouarzazate - Marrakech

See the sights during your orientation tour of Ouarzazate. Including a visit to Kasbah de Taourirt. Visit Aït Ben Haddou in the High Atlas Mountains. Continue through the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass to Marrakesh - the ‘Red City’. Like many other former imperial cities in Morocco, Marrakesh is comprised of an old fortified city - the médina - and an adjacent modern city. Marrakesh is home to Morocco’s largest traditional market (‘souk’) where you might like to do some last minute shopping.

Day 8: Marrakech

Start to enjoy a morning tour of the city. Visit the Saadian Tombs, dating back to the 16th century, where Saadian royalty found their final resting place. Your tour also includes the Koutoubia Minaret, the beautiful Bahia Palace, as well as the opportunity to shop for Moroccan spices and herbs. Finally, end the tour by walking through the medina, getting a chance to admire all of the different artisans performing their craft before arriving at the Jaama El Fna Square. Spend the afternoon at leisure or choose to visit the Menara gardens or Majorelle gardens (at different ends of the medina, so need to choose which one) .

Day 9: Marrakech - Casablanca

After breakfast, travel to Casablanca and transfer to your hotel. This afternoon, tour Casablanca. Your half day sightseeing includes the exterior of the Hassan II Mosque, currently the second largest Mosque in the world and the beautiful Corniche seaside. Take a moment to catch your breath at the end of your Moroccan adventure to admire the serenity of the Atlantic Ocean. Continue on a short drive through the residential areas of Casablanca to the city centre to visit the Mohamed V Square, the Habous quarter. Include a visit to the Aindiab beach. Tonight, say goodbye to your trip mates and enjoy a farewell dinner at a local restaurant on the Corniche

Day 10: Casablanca

Today we bid you farewell and transfer you to Casablanca airport for your onward flight to Sicily.
