Welcome to Morocco and the start of your honeymoon break. We'll be there at the airport to greet you and transfer you to your hotel in the heart of Marrakech. The remainder of the day can be spent at leisure.
Today we enjoy a guided tour of old Marrakech. Set within the rose-coloured walls of the medina, a tangle of winding streets lead to bustling souks with the focal point of the central square - the Djemaa el Fna, an extraordinary gathering and market place. Towering over all this is the Koutoubia mosque, the tallest building in the city and a reminder of the importance of Islam to the lives of the city’s residents.
Today is a free day where you can relax at your riad, enjoy a spot of shopping in the colourful souks or the modern new part of town or perhaps explore more of this fascinating city.
After breakfast we depart Marrakech and head to the High Atlas Mountains. Running from the Atlantic Coast to the north of Algeria, the High Atlas Mountains offer a glimpse into another way of life as Berber villages cling to the valley sides. Our home for the next two nights is in Ourigane staying at the La Bergerie, or Sel D'ailleurs check in and time at leisure.
Spend today in the comfort of Berber hospitality or opt to go hiking in the surrounding mountains and local villages.
We continue our exploration of Morocco and head to the Agafay Desert, a landscape of untouched sand dunes and golden hues. Our home for the next two nights is the La Pause camp, a rustic camp with traditional charm. After check in take advantage of the many activities on offer payable locally such as hiking, camel or pony trekking or simply relax in the shade of an olive tree.
