Day 1: Marrakech
Arrival in Marrakech airport where you will be met by the On the Go guide and transferred to your hotel or Riad in the centre of town. Meet your guide for a tour briefing and then spend the rest of the day at leisure. Explore the vibrant Djemaa el-Fna square in the evening with the snake charmers, story tellers , food stalls and souks all in full swing.
Day 2: Marrakech
This morning enjoy a guided tour of Marrakech, taking in all of the highlights of the Medina (old city centre) - the Koutoubia Mosque, palaces, souks and the old mellah (Jewish quartier). In the afternoon perhaps a visit to the peaceful Jardins de Majorelle to relax
Day 3: Marrakech - Ourigane
Transfer to Ourigane in the High Atlas, afternoon walk around the salt mines and in the foothills of the mountains- night in Dar Tassa
Days 6-8: Essaouira
Free time in Essaouira to windsurf, relax on the beach or see the medina and the ramparts of the town. Perhaps take a camel ride! We recommend the tasty sea food restaurants around the harbour for a spot of evening dining in beautiful surroundings.
Day 9: Essaouira
Day hire of bikes (one with baby seat) to explore a bit of the coastline and up to Sidi kakoui.Remaining day free
Day 11: Essaouira - Marrakech
After a morning in Essaouira, you'll be transferred to Marrakech. On the way back its possible to stop at an Argan oil co-operative to see how the argan nuts from all the forests around Essaouira are converted into oils and soaps.
Day 12: Marrakech
Free day in Marrakech. Set against the snowcapped Atlas Mountains, Marrakech has long been a travellers favourite stop-off point. After all, it is situated on ancient caravan routes. Its great pride and landmark, visible from many miles, is the Koutoubia Tower, sister to the Tower of Hassan in Rabat and the Giralda Tower in Sevillle.
