Day 1: Marrakech

Welcome to Morocco and the start of your journey through the Land of the Berbers! Arrival in Marrakech airport where you will be met by the On the Go guide and transferred to your hotel or riad in the centre of town. Meet your guide for a tour briefing and then spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2: Marrakech

This morning enjoy a guided tour or Marrakech, taking in all of the highlights of the Medina (old city centre) - the Koutoubia Mosque, palaces, souks and the old mellah (Jewish quarter). In the afternoon free time for you to explore perhaps visit the peaceful Jardins de Majorelle to relax.

Day 3: Marrakech - Ourigane

It's an early start today when the transportation and your mountain guide arrives at the Hotel to take you out of the city. From the flat plain of Haouz, the route climbs southwards and up to the passes of the High Atlas mountains. Along twisty roads with marvellous views to arrive into Ourigane. Spend the afternoon exploring the lake or berber villages around this town or simply relax at the hotel. (OVERNIGHT DAR TASSA HOTEL)

Day 4: Ourigane - Ouarzazate

This morning we set off to explore Tin Mel Mosque – one of the few that non muslims can visit in Morocco. We then head over the famous Tizi n Test road down to the plains near the saffron fields east of Ouled berhil. From here, we journey onwards to the town of Ouarzazate, where many Hollywood films have been made.

Day 5: Ouarzazate - Todra Gorge

This morning we make the short journey to Gorge du Dades in the Dades valley, a green and fertile valley by the Dades River that flows through it giving life to a huge variety of colourful fruit and nut trees and extraordinary red rock formations. Here, you can choose to partake in a leisurely walk/hike through the simple local villages and foothills of the gorge. After lunch we set off to the Todra Gorgeand enjoy a walk in the spectacular scenery.

Day 6: Todra Gorge - Erg Chebbi

Today we enjoy a stunning drive crossing Jebel Sarhro and having time for a swim and a delicious lunch before travelling down to Erg Chebbi sand dunes, the start point of the mighty Sahara Desert. This afternoon enjoy a walk in the dunes and witness a magical sunset then return to your Auberge at the foot of the dunes.

Day 7: Erg Chebbi - Ouarzazate

Today we enjoy driving past the Saghro mountains to Nkob and then onwards to Ouarzazate via Agdz and the Draa valley.

Day 8: Ouarzazate - Marrakech

This morning we tour the famous Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, where Lawrence of Arabia was once filmed. When ready we make our drive back to Marrakech.

Days 9-10: Marrakech

Today and tomorrow are at your leisure to explore this fascinating city.

Day 11: Marrakech - Essaouira

Today we will assist with your catching the public bus to the beach town of Essaouira. A colourful old city and fishing village is located within 15th century Portuguese fortifications. Just outside the town great beaches and an Atlantic surf beckon.

Days 12-13: Essaouira

Enjoy a lazy couple of days in Essaouira. Perhaps take a camel ride along the beach, try a bit of wind surfing or simply sunbathe! In the evenings why not try one of the many tasty restaurants in the medina.

Day 14: Essaouira

The minibus arrives to take you for a day outing to see Oualidia. Return to Essaouira for the evening.

Day 15: Essaouira

Sadly your journey has reached its conclusion, you will make way back to Marrakech airport in time for your flight home.
