Day 1: Marrakech

Arrival in Marrakech airport where you will be met by the On the Go guide and transferred to your hotel or Riad in the centre of town. Meet your guide for a tour briefing and then spend the rest of the day at leisure. Explore the vibrant Djemaa el-Fna square in the evening with the snake charmers, story tellers , food stalls and souks all in full swing.

Day 2: Marrakech

This morning enjoy a guided tour of Marrakech, taking in all of the highlights of the Medina (old city centre) - the Koutoubia Mosque, palaces, souks and the old mellah (Jewish quartier). In the afternoon perhaps a visit to the peaceful Jardins de Majorelle to relax

Day 3: Marrakech - Rabat

Depart for Casablanca and see the mosque Hassan II before carrying onto Rabat.

Day 4: Rabat

This morning you will have a town guide to show you the Chellah, Hassan tour and the Medina before you have the chance to stop for lunch before departing up the Atlantic coast and night in the town of Asilah

Day 5: Rabat - Tangier

Travel to Tangiers and day to explore the town. Night in Riad Dar Jameel

Day 6: Tangier - Chefchaouen

Departing the hustle and bustle of Tangier, we head to the rif mountains to Chefchaouen, a haven of peace and tranquillity. High up in the rif mountains, Chefchaouen is a beautiful blue door and white-walled medina that was originally a Berber post. The main square is the heart of Chefchaouen, with the Kasbah (built back in the 18th century), central mosque and cafes with authentic Moroccan style menus.

Day 7: Chefchaouen - Fes

Today you journey through the Rif mountains to Fes. The Rif mountains are still relatively unexplored by visitors, partly because they are quite remote, and partly because of the hashish that is grown in fields in the hidden valleys. However with your guide and driver, you will be able to relax and see the unspoilt Morocco.

Day 8: Fes

Fes is the oldest and largest medieval city in the world and a bustling hive of activity. This morning take a guided tour around the incredible, old medina - a heady mix of aromas, sounds and sights from the tanneries, spice tubs, pottery and donkeys! Enjoy free time in the afternoon to explore independently.

Day 9: Fes

Free day in Fes to explore the souks and palaces further

Day 10: Fes - Midelt

Today we board our vehicle and make our way across the Middle Atlas - maybe stopping in the cedar forest to see the wild macaque monkeys. Onwards, and into the plains where the tents of the nomads can be seen. We will stop for the night in Midelt. Night in Kasbah taddert

Day 11: Midelt - Erg Chebbi

Today we have a trip over the Middle Atlas to the High Atlas Mountains and the Gorge du Ziz. After the High Atlas, the plain of Errachidia dissolves into the Sahara and the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. We travel by camel (or you can walk beside the camels) to our Berber camp for the night.

Day 12: Erg Chebbi - Todra Gorge

Take the camel ride out of the desert and meet the transportation. Take the road to the Gorges Todra and visit these impressive cliffs before night in Hotel Tomboctou

Day 13: Todra Gorge - Ait Benhaddou

Today we travel via the Gorge du Dades and the town of Ouarzazate before reaching Kasbah Ait ben haddou. Overnight at Auberge Roses du sables

Day 14: Ait Benhaddou - High Atlas

Take the road over the High Atlas and reach the small mountain village of Imlil. Meet the mule team and stay in a gite (dormitory basic accommodation) at Aroumd (2 hours trek)

Day 15: High Atlas

Trek over the pass of Tamatert to the village of Tacchedirt- night in Gite (4-5 hours trek)

Day 16: High Atlas - Marrakech

Trek over the passes to the high valley of Oukaimden in the Toubkal park- meet the transport and transfer to Marrakech for the night (4-5 hours trek)

Day 17: Marrakech - Essaouira

Today we depart for Essaouira on the coast. Overnight in Hotel Miramar

Days 18-19: Essaouira

Free time in Essaouira to windsurf, relax on the beach or see the medina and the ramparts of the town. Perhaps take a camel ride! We recommend the tasty sea food restaurants around the harbour for a spot of evening dining in beautiful surroundings.

Day 20: Essaouira - Marrakech

Free day in essaouira and in the evening return to Marrakech

Day 21: Marrakech

Today transfer to the airport
