Departure from Marrakech and transfer in private transportation over the High Atlas to the Kasbah of Ait ben Haddou and a chance to visit here before heading off along the valley of the roses to the Gorge du Todra. Over night in Hotel Tomboctou.
Travel further along the foothills of the high Atlas Mountains towards the desert and arrive in Merzouga at the edge of the Sahara. Night in Auberge Les Portes du desert with an opportunity to take a camel ride into the desert if wished in the evening when it is cool enough. Note we recommend that the night is spent in an air conditioned room rather than in the camp, as it will be very uncomfortable in the heat at this time of year!
Departing in the morning, take the air conditioned transport along the road past the Gorge du dades which is a cleft deep within the High Atlas Mountains at the edge of the Sahara Desert, that is 30 feet wide at its narrowest point and where sheer cliffs tower up to 1,600 feet above you.Afterwards we travel onto Ouarzazate. Over night in Hotel Les jardins De Ouarzazate.
Transfer to the Marrakech over the High Atlas with maybe some time to visit the Palace of the Glaoui at Telouet in the middle of the mountains before the tour finishes in the city.
