Day 1: Moscow

Welcome to Russia! Airport arrival transfer and hotel check in. Spend what remains of the day at leisure, relax or head out and enjoy Moscows vibrant nighlife.

Day 2: Moscow

Enjoy a walking tour to see some of the key highlights from iconic Red Square, brightly coloured St Basil's Cathedral, the ritzy GUM department as well as Lenin still lying in state. Remainder of the day at your leisure. This evening you have a pre departure briefing with our local manager regarding your upcoming trans-siberian adventure.

Day 3: Moscow - Trans Siberian train

Today is free, why not catch the Metro and see some of the stations that are practically art museums. Later, you will be driven to the station in time for the Train number 60 to Yekaterinburg that departs at 16:50 - Sit back and enjoy the journey.

Day 4: Trans Siberian train - Yekaterinburg

After a day of admiring the scenery out the window, you arrive into Yekaterinburg station at 20:50, where our local driver waits to take you to your homestay lodgings in tie for a late dinner.

Day 5: Yekaterinburg

Our tour takes us to the Church where you’ll see a sculpture dedicated to the Tsar and his family and the area of execution. Out of town, we visit Ganina Yama - the monastic complex set in Taiga forest, where the Romanov family remains were unceremoniously dumped and later discovered.

Day 6: Yekaterinburg - Trans Siberian train

Today you will be accompanied by a skilled instructor who will explain how to manage the dogs and sled and then it is up to you to take control! This is an experience of a lifetime, as you see the snowy landscape as the dogs race along. You will be supplied with sheepskin coats and warm overalls. Returning to town you will have time to collect your bags and buy some snacks before transfer to the station for Train Number 70 destined to Irkutsk departing at 22:17

Days 7-8: Trans Siberian train

Today and tomorrow enjoy life aboard the train as it plies its way across the Urals and large tracts of Siberia.

Day 9: Trans Siberian train - Baikal Area

Morning 09:38, arrival into Irkutsk, a town with the Asiatic influences of nearby Mongolia and China and curious architecture - a legacy of Siberia’s aristocratic exiles. Here, our driver will take you to Listvyanka/Baikal. After some breakfast at your homestay lodgings you will be taken out to explore the sites, such as a walking tour of Listvyanka village and Lake Baikal Museum. Also you will get to enjoy a traditional sauna called a banya today.

Day 10: Baikal Area

Today you get to test your cross country ski skills by beautiful Lake Baikal.

Day 11: Baikal Area - Irkutsk

Today a transfer back to Irkutsk to enjoy lunch in a city restaurant. After check into your homestay enjoy free time to explore.

Day 12: Irkutsk - Trans Siberian train

Very early morning (04:00) transfer to the rail station to continue your momentous journey on Train number 4 into the heart of Mongolia, a land of endless steppe, towering mountains, pristine lakes, rivers and desert.

Day 13: Trans Siberian train - Terelj National Park

Morning (06:30) arrival into Ulaanbaatar after crossing the Mongolian border during the very early hours. Here, our rep is waiting to transfer you a short distance from Ulaanbaatar to the beautiful Terelj National Park where you will stay in a traditional Yurt. Along the way you will visit a nomadic family and one of the natural wonders in the area known as Turtle Rock.

Day 14: Terelj National Park

Enjoy a day in this wonderful landscape of pine covered cliffs, grassy steppe and giant granite rocks.

Day 15: Terelj National Park - Ulaan Baatar

After breakfast we drive you to the city of Ulaanbaatar. Enjoy time here to explore at your leisure.

Day 16: Ulaan Baatar

Enjoy more time to explore the city today.

Day 17: Ulaan Baatar - Beijing

This morning you will be driven to the station in time for the Train number 24 to Beijing that departs at 07:15 - Sit back and enjoy the journey.
