Day 1: St Petersburg

Welcome to the city of the Tsars! Arrival transfer to your hotel. Remainder of the day free time to explore at leisure.

This morning, we embark on a city tour driving along Nevsky Prospekt, through the museum and university district and Admiralty End, with stops to view the outside of the Church on Spilled Blood, The Bronze Horseman and take a tour of Peter and Paul Fortress. This afternoon we enjoy a guided tour of the incredible Hermitage Collection at the Winter Palace followed by a visit to ‘The Vodka Museum’ with a tour explaining the history of vodka which would not be complete without some vodka tasting! Day 3: St Petersburg

Today enjoy visits to see the interior of the Church on Spilled Blood and the Summer Gardens at Peterhof and Catherine's Palace as well as lunch at a great local restaurant. Overnight - Angleterre

Day 4: St Petersburg - Moscow

Early morning drive to Pskov which is historically rich, having played host to a stream of Baltic invaders for 700 years. A short drive brings us to the beautiful 14th century Pechory Monastery, where we explore the peaceful grounds Steaming up at a local Russian banya (sauna) will work our appetites up for a lovely local lunch. Tonight travel by sleeper train to Moscow. Overnight - Angleterre

Day 5: Moscow

Welcome to Moscow! Arrival transfer to your hotel. Later with guide set off to Red Square to enjoy a guided tour of Moscow’s most famous sites the beautiful St. Basil’s Cathedral, with its wildly colourful turban shaped domes, wander around the historic GUM department store and if open, pay your respects to Lenin at the mausoleum. Return transfer to your hotel. Overnight - 4 berth overnight sleeper train

Day 6: Moscow

Today we explore the grounds of the mighty Kremlin - Russia’s powerhouse, visit its gold domed cathedrals, Ivan the Great Bell Tower and the Armoury, where you can see incredible jewels and ancient artifacts. Remainder of day at leisure - return transfer to your hotel included after touring. Overnight - Novotel

Day 7: Moscow

We say good bye with a transfer to the airport in time for your flight home. Overnight - Novotel
