Day 1: Moscow
Welcome to Russia and the start of your holiday. Arrival transfer from the airport to your hotel with an English speaking guide. Remainder of the day at leisure.
Day 2: Moscow
Today enjoy a guided walk of the Kitay-Gorod (one of the oldest parts of Moscow) and Lubyanka area. You’ll see ancient churches and buildings and the outside of the FSB (successor to the infamous KGB) as you head to Red Square and the wonderfully whimsical St Basil’s. If open, you can view the somewhat eerie but healthy looking wax work like figure of the embalmed Lenin in his mausoleum. We also visit the famous GUM Department store and take a metro ride to the city centre with a metro tour en route. Later, take a guided tour of the impressive Moscow Kremlin - home to the Russian president and previously a citadel of the Tsars and headquarters of the Soviet Union. Overnight - Standard accommodation
Day 3: Moscow - Pskov and Pechory
We drive to Star City today for a tour of the area including a visit to the water immersion centre, centrifuge and the shuttle 'Souyz'. Later, we transfer to the train station for the overnight train to Pskov. Overnight - Standard accommodation
Day 4: Pskov and Pechory - St Petersburg
Upon your arrival into Pskov this morning you will be met by a guide. Enjoy a city tour of Pskov before we drive to Pechory. The chance to enjoy a Russian sauna before lunch at a local restaurant. Later, we transfer by private mini van to St Petersburg. Upon arrival you will be taken to your hotel. Overnight - 4 berth overnight sleeper train
Day 5: St Petersburg
Enjoy a city tour today of fascinating St Petersburg including a walk along Nevsky Prospect and the Hermitage Museum. We also visit a vodka museum for vodka tasting. Overnight - Ibis St Petersburg Moskovsky Vokzal
Day 6: St Petersburg
This morning take a guided tour of Peter and Pauls Fortress. Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure. Overnight - Ibis St Petersburg Moskovsky Vokzal
Day 7: St Petersburg
We bid you farewell today and transfer you to the airport for your onward flight. Overnight - Ibis St Petersburg Moskovsky Vokzal
