Day 1: Vladivostok

Welcome to Vladivostok, and the start of your epic journey on the Trans-Siberian! Arriving into the airport our local driver awaits to transfer you to your hotel.

Day 2: Vladivostok

Enjoy a free day in Vladi - Why not visit Vladivostok port and a decommissioned submarine, the S-56, which sank 10 enemy ships in its day! or head out and see the Vladivostok Fortress, where, every day at noon a giant gun is fired, or the Oceanarium, dedicated to interesting local species

Day 3: Vladivostok - Trans Siberian train

Your train departs at 11:35 - We will be sure to drive you to the station in time for the departure. Sit back and enjoy the journey.

Days 4-5: Trans Siberian train

Settle into life aboard the train as it enters Russia's Far East region; this is also where Siberia officially ends. Via Kharbarovsk, the train pushes on, sometimes within 10km of the Chinese border.

Day 6: Trans Siberian train - Ulan Ude

Arriving into Ulan Ude in the wee early hours(01:03), our local driver awaits to transfer you to your homestay accommodations.

Day 7: Ulan Ude

Enjoy a guided tour today of this fascinating city! Thanks to its proximity to Mongolia and China, the indigenous people of the region, the Buryats, clung on to their Tibetan-Buddhist faith through the Communist era. The guided city tour visits Ivolginsky Datsan - a centre of Buddhist culture and the open air Ethnographic Museum dedicated to the lives of local people and architecture through the ages.

Day 8: Ulan Ude - Trans Siberian train

(Today must be a Saturday) After breakfast we drive you back to the station for the journey onward to Ulaanbaatar the train leaves at 13:35. Sit back and enjoy the journey.

Day 9: Trans Siberian train - Terelj National Park

Upon arrival into Ulaan Baatar at 06:30 am transfer to nearby Terelj National Park, stopping for lunch and visiting Turtle Rock en route. With scenic alpine surrounds this protected area is host to diverse flora and fauna and famous for its unique granite rock formations. Spend two nights camping out in a Mongolian ger on the steppe.

Day 10: Terelj National Park

Today you can opt to book and pay for horses to go riding in the surrounding grasslands, or just head on a hike!

Day 11: Terelj National Park - Trans Siberian train

(Today must be a Tuesday) We will transfer you today back to UB station for the 13:05 departure to Irkutsk. Enjoy the journey.

Day 12: Trans Siberian train - Irkutsk

Arriving into the station at 14:35 - We will transfer you to your homestay accommodations.

Day 13: Irkutsk - Baikal Area

Enjoy an overnight trekking excursion through the scenic taiga of the Primorsky Mountain to Lake Baikal, camping overnight in a picturesque bay.

Day 14: Baikal Area - Irkutsk

The trek this morning in the small village of Litsvinyanka. Our driver will transfer you back to Irkutsk homestay accommodations.

Day 15: Irkutsk - Trans Siberian train

Enjoy the day at leisure to explore. We will transfer you to the station for the 18:35 train to Yekaterinburg.

Day 16: Trans Siberian train

Enjoy the stunning scenery as the train journeys toward your next destination.

Day 17: Trans Siberian train - Yekaterinburg

Arriving today at 22:03 again our trusty local driver await to transfer you to your homestay accommodations.

Day 18: Yekaterinburg

Enjoy a tour of the city today, which takes in the new monastery that marks the site of the Romanov family’s execution in 1918 and Ganina Yama - a beautiful monastic complex built on the site where their bodies were discarded and later found. The tour also takes you to the Europe/Asia border where you can stand with a foot in each continent!

Day 19: Yekaterinburg

Today we take a day trip to Peschanoe Lake and walk along the river banks, taking in the breathtaking views, before heading to the 17th century Ural village of Reshoty, which has maintained its ancient way of life. Russian wooden houses, made without nails, are still used today. Escorted by a local guide.

Day 20: Yekaterinburg - Trans Siberian train

Your train departs at 09:35 am we will drive you to the station in time for your train to Moscow.

Day 21: Trans Siberian train - Moscow

Arriving in the morning 09:15 our local team will drive you to your hotel.

Day 22: Moscow

Enjoy a day at leisure to explore.

Day 23: Moscow - St Petersburg

Today you will take the day express train to St Pete's. Relevant transfers are arranged for you by our local team at both ends.

Days 24-25: St Petersburg

For today and tomorrow enjoy exploring the city at your leisure.

Day 26: St Petersburg

Sadly your epic journey comes to an end - we will transfer you to the airport in time for your flight home.
