Welcome to Russia! Upon arrival, we will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to the hotel for the evening.
Today you have a half day sightseeing private tour of Pushkin (Catherine Palace and Park). The greatest treasure in the magnificent Palace of Catherine the Great is the legendary Amber room with its ornate mosaics.
Today is a free day for you to explore independently or simply relax.
Today after checking out of your hotel around noon you will be transferred to embark your cruise. The remainder of the day is free.
St Petersburg: While your ship is docked in port, today you will be picked up from the ship at 09:30 to enjoy a half day private city tour of St Petersburg. You will see the Nevsky prospect’s shops, cafes and theatres, and entry to Peter and Paul’s fortress and St. Isaac’s cathedral; the city’s large cathedral, now a museum of elaborate icons and artworks.
Today we will have a half day private tour in the world famous Hermitage Museum, formerly the Winter Palace, home of the last six czars. A treasure trove of three million exhibits, its 320 halls display DaVincis, Rembrandts, Titians, Micheleangelos, French impressionists and North American artists. Later today we will set sail!
Mandrogi: Green Stop. In the village there are some structures built according to the Russian fine traditions of wooden architecture. Kishi: Via the Volga/Baltic canal, our cruise takes us to the tiny island of Kizhi, located at the northern end of lake Onega. Goritsy: A tiny settlement seven kilometers from the Kirillo-Belozersky monastery. Visit what remains of the Nunnery of the resurrection on the banks of the Sheksna River in Goritsy, within a quarter of a mile of where the ship stop, will be interesting for any tourist with a real interest in Russian history.
Jaroslavl: Stretching for 18 miles on both banks of the Volga, Yaroslavl is an important Volga port founded in the 11th century by Prince Yaroslav the Wise and today retains many noteworthy monuments of its colorful past. With you fellow passengers today you enjoy a tour including Spaso-Preobrazgenskiy Monastery, Church of Elijah the Prophet.
Uglitch: Founded in 1148, Uglich is one of the most beloved towns in old Russia. The view of the town as it is approached from the Volga River is especially lovely with the Cathedral of the Resurrection and St.John’s Church looming on the horizon. Today you can visit the Cathedral of the Resurrection and Dmitry Blood’s Church with your fellow passengers.
Moscow: Spend the remaining unforgettable days in the capital of Russia and admire numerous treasures of its history and present days and enjoy its beauty! You will be picked up at 14:00 to enjoy a private half day sightseeing city tour of Moscow for approximately 5 hours including a walk at Red square, view from Sparrow Hill and entry to St. Basil’s Cathedral.
Moscow: Today enjoy a private half day tour to the Kremlin including the territory, cathedrals and Armoury. The former residence of Russian czars, an architectural ensemble of unique beauty, which took shape between the 15-th and 20-th centuries. Moscow: Today you will disembark the cruise boat at 09:30 and you will be transferred to your hotel. Check-in is generally after 2pm.
