Day 1: St Petersburg

Welcome to the city of the Tsars! Arriving at the airport our local team are on hand to transfer you to your hotel. At the hotel you will have a briefing about your upcoming adventure.

Day 2: St Petersburg

Founded by Peter the Great in 1703, St Petersburg is built around a series of bridge-connected canals and rivers. This morning enjoy a half day city tour including a visit to Peter and Paul Fortress, home to the SS Peter and Paul Cathedral, housing the tombs of the Romanov monarchs and we also visit the Church on Spilled Blood and then and then the remainder of the afternoon is at your leisure to explore.

Day 3: St Petersburg

Situated on the banks of the River Neva and partly housed in the breathtaking Winter Palace (which was home to the Tsars for almost two centuries), is the world famous Hermitage collection - one of the world's largest art collections. Today your guide will show you around this magnificent museum for 4 hours thereafter you can spend as much time as you like looking around the various exhibits, a return transfer is ready to take you back to your hotel.

Day 4: St Petersburg

Today we visit the amazing royal residences of the Russian Tsars, located on the outskirts of St Petersburg and enjoy views of the russian countryside en route. Take a guided tour around the beautiful summer gardens at Peterhof. Peterhof boasts one of the largest fountains in the world and the amazing geometrical design of the gardens was inspired by the park at Versailles. This afternoon is free for you to spend at your leisure.

Day 5: St Petersburg - Suzdal

Early this morning you will be transferred to the train station to catch the 07:00 SAPSAN train to Vladimir. Arriving here at around 10:50 meet with our local driver we pick you up and transfer you to Suzdal for the evening.

Day 6: Suzdal

This morning we drive to Vladimir and we tour the impressive defensive fort built in 1108, the beautiful Assumption Cathedral with frescoes by the greatest of old Russian painters, Andrei Rubliov and the famous Golden Gate. The afternoon we drive back to Suzdal and visit the Kremlin, Saviour Monastery of St. Euthymius and Wooden Architecture.

Days 7-9: Suzdal

The next three days are free day for you to relax or explore independently.

Day 10: Suzdal - Kostroma

This morning we head to the beautiful, rural Kostroma. Exploring Kostroma, known as the ‘Cradle of the Romanov dynasty’, as it was home to first Tsar of the Romanov Dynasty. We will visit the Epiphany and St Ipathy Monasteries, see the frescoes inside the Trinity Cathedral and wander around Susanina Square. T

Days 11-14: Kostroma

The next four days are free day for you to relax or explore independently.

Day 15: Kostroma - Yaroslavl

This morning drive to Yaroslavl, which was founded by a Kievan prince. The main attraction is the Monastery of the Transfiguration of the Saviour - founded in the 12th century, it was one of Russia’s richest and most fortified monasteries by the 1500’s. Other sights of interest on the tour include the beautiful frescoes in the churches of St. Nicholas Nadein and Elijah the Prophet.

Day 16: Yaroslavl

Today enjoy the sights of the lakeside town of Rostov Veliky. This historic town is rich in ancient architecture, with many monuments dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries. Dominating the central square is the impressive 16th Century Assumption Cathedral and between the square and the lake is the Kremlin, which has eleven beautifully ornate towers and is home to several elaborately decorated churches and palaces. We return to your hotel in the evening in Yaroslavl.

Days 17-19: Yaroslavl

The next two days are free day for you to relax or explore independently.

Day 20: Yaroslavl - Moscow

Today we return to Moscow. But first we drive to Sergiev Posad to visit the incredible monastery of Sergiev Posad which is one of the most beautiful monasteries in Russia and one of the principal spiritual centers of the Russian Church. We visit the Museum, which shows old religious objects and woven pictures of saints. Also explore some of the many churches in the city as well before driving to your hotel in Moscow, arriving in the evening. Overnight Radisson Royal Hotel or similar.

Day 21: Moscow

Enjoy a half day guided walking tour of Red Square and the mighty Kremlin today. Your tour will include entry and exploration of St Basil’s Cathedral which was commissioned by Ivan the Terrible in 1555. This afternoon is free for you to explore independently.

Day 22: Moscow

This morning we explore the treasures of the Kremlin. The museum boasts an extensive collection of precious items ancient state regalia, ceremonial tsar’s vestments and coronation dress, as well as gold and silverware, ceremonial weapons and arms, carriages and horse ceremonial harness. The afternoon we take a journey on the Moscow Metro and discover Stalin's lavish underground stations designed and decorated by Russia's finest artists. The tour concludes with a stop at the Izmailovsky flea market where a wealth of antique memorabilia can be bought or simply looked at and enjoyed.

Day 23: Moscow

Today is a free day for you to relax or explore independently.

Day 24: Moscow

Today we take a fascinating and insightful journey into the world of fine art with a visit to the magnificent Tretyakov Gallery and the Pushkin Museum that houses the largest collection of Western European art in the world.

Day 25: Moscow

Today is a free day for you to relax or explore independently.

Days 26-27: Moscow

Today and tomorrow are at your leisure for your Legal conference.

Day 28: Moscow

This morning we drive to Yasnaya Polyana to see the home of the great writer Leo Tolstoy and then return in the later afternoon to your hotel in Moscow.

Day 29: Moscow

Today is free for you to relax or explore independently and make the most of your remaining time in Russia!

Day 30: Moscow

Sadly your journey has come to an end, we will transfer you to the airport in time for your flight home.
