Day 2: Beijing

The Great Wall of China is a must see experience so today we have included a drive beyond Beijing to Badaling. Here with your expert guide you can walk a section of the famous Great Wall. Built in the Ming Dynasty, a 6m wide pathway makes a formidable defence, following the highest contours of a steep range of hills.

Day 3: Beijing - Trans Siberian train

Early this morning, an included transfer to Beijing rail station for the train to Ulaan Baatar - capital of Mongolia. Sit back, relax and enjoy the spectacular scenery!

Day 4: Trans Siberian train - Ulaan Baatar

Arriving into Ulaan Bataar and a transfer to your hotel -- No touring arrangements with on the go tours you will meet up with your arrangements through Habitat for Humanity

Days 5-8: Ulaan Baatar

Day 30: Irkutsk

Enjoy an included city tour of Irkutsk with our expert local guide.

Day 31: Irkutsk - Baikal Area

Transfer from Irkutsk and enjoy a leisurely trek through the taiga of the beautiful Primorsky Mountain, to a nearby bay on the shores of Lake Baikal. Camp overnight in a scenic spot and soak up the views.

Day 32: Baikal Area - Irkutsk

The following day trek to Listvyanka and before returning to Irkutsk hotel for the night.

Day 33: Irkutsk - Trans Siberian train

Spend the day at leisure in Irkutsk before your late afternoon transfer to the train station for your onward journey to Yekaterinburg across the tracts of Siberia.

Day 34: Trans Siberian train

Sit back and enjoy the journey.

Day 35: Trans Siberian train - Yekaterinburg

Late afternoon the train pulls into Yekaterinburg. Transfer to your accommodation. Evening at leisure.

Day 36: Yekaterinburg

Included - city tour which takes in the new monastery that marks the site of the Romanov family’s execution in 1918 and Ganina Yama - a beautiful monastic complex built on the site where their bodies were discarded and later found. The tour also takes you to the Europe/Asia border where you can stand with a foot in each continent!

Day 37: Yekaterinburg

Included - day trip to Peschanoe Lake and walk along the river banks, taking in the breathtaking views, before heading to the 17th century Ural village of Reshoty, which has maintained its ancient way of life. Russian wooden houses, made without nails, are still used today. Escorted by a local guide.

Day 38: Yekaterinburg - Moscow

Early morning transfer to the train station for your overnight journey to Moscow. Sit back and enjoy the journey.

Day 39: Moscow

This morning, the train reaches Moscow. Arrival transfer is included to your hotel. Afternoon at your leisure to explore.

Day 40: Moscow

Enjoy a guided walking tour of Red Square and the mighty Kremlin today. Our walking tour takes in the treasures of the golden domed Kremlin, its cathedrals, Ivan the Great’s Bell Tower and the Tsar Bell - the largest bell in the world, which weighs in at over 200 ton! It ill also include a tour of the Metro stations that are more like art Museum this way you learn how to use the Metro which is easier than it looks.

Day 41: Moscow

Enjoy a day at leisure exploring Moscow independently. The vibrant city of Moscow has plenty of galleries, museums, shops and monuments to keep you entertained.

Day 42: Moscow - St Petersburg

Today you travel on the high speed day train to St Pete's - Arriving here our local team awaits your arrival for transfer to your hotel.

Day 43: St Petersburg

Founded by Peter the Great in 1703, St Petersburg is built around a series of bridge-connected canals and rivers. This morning we visit Peter and Paul Fortress, home to the SS Peter and Paul Cathedral, housing the tombs of the Romanov monachs. This afternoon enjoy a guided tour of the Hermitage, where you will be taken to see the highlights of this incredible collection and the beautiful baroque palace that houses it.

Day 44: St Petersburg

Take a guided tour of the Yusupov's Palace on the banksof the Moika River. This beautiful 18th century palace was once the residence of the Yusupov's, the richest family in Russia and the site of the most legendary and mysterious episodes in Russian history occurred - the murder of Rasputin in 1916. Follow the story of this self proclaimed holy man with alleged super natural powers, who ruined the reputation of the Romanov family. You can also visit the hidden room where after numerous attempts, he was eventually murdered.

Day 45: St Petersburg

Our city stay concludes after breakfast. Hotel check out is at 12.00. Included departure transfer to the airport.
