Day 1: Lima

Today marks the end of our Galapagos Discovered tour and the start of your private touring arrangements in Peru. Upon your arrival at Lima's international airport you will be met by our local representative and transferred to your hotel for check in and overnight stay.

Day 2: Lima - Sacred Valley

Early this morning we transfer you to the airport for your flight to Cuzco where upon your arrival you will be met and transferred to the Sacred Valley for a day of touring. Tracing a scenic course from Cuzco to Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley was greatly appreciated by the Incas due to its special geographical qualities and as such contains numerous archaeological remains. Today we explore Pisac, a collection of the remains of Incan dwellings, temples and terracing. Enjoy a spot of shopping and practise your bartering skills at the local market before stopping for lunch. The day concludes with a visit to the impressive fortress and citadel of Ollantaytambo.

Day 3: Sacred Valley - Aguas Calientes

This morning we transfer you to the train station for a stunning train journey to the famous Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. Sit back and enjoy the views as the landscape changes from the Andean highlands to the beginnings of the jungle. Nestled in a saddle between two forested mountains and surrounded on three sides by the Urubamba River, Machu Picchu's location couldn’t be more awe-inspiring. This morning embark on a scheduled excursion (shared basis) to explore the citadel and the wonderful Temple of the Sun and magical Temple of the Moon on a three hour guided excursion. Other highlights include the fascinating Sacred Plaza and the elaborately carved Intihuatana rock.

Day 4: Aguas Calientes - Cuzco

The morning is free for you to revisit Machu Picchu if you wish (second entry ticket not included). Later today you will be transferred to the train station for your Vistadome train back to Cuzco where you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 5: Cuzco

Considered the archaeological capital of South America, Cuzco is home to some of the finest examples of Inca history and architecture, which you will discover touring the sights of the Plaza de Armas, the Catedral and the Koricancha complex – a supreme example of Inca stonework, on an afternoon scheduled tour (SHARED SERVICE). Head out further afield to tour the Kenko Amphitheatre, the fortified hunting lodge of Puca Pucara, the stunning imperial baths of Tambo Machay and the megalithic fortress of Sacsayhuaman.

Day 6: Cuzco - Puno

This morning you will be transferred back to the railway station for your scenic Andean Explorer train to Puno. Riding the Andean Explorer is a unique experience, a journey between mountains and clouds, mountains and highlands. It's a ten hour train journey, which ends at the majestic Lake Titicaca. The Andean Explorer is one the most of luxurious and different way of travel between Cuzco and Lake Titicaca with dining cars and a car-bar outdoor observatory. Arriving into Puno you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 7: Puno - Lake Titicaca

Departing Puno this morning we journey overland to Copacabana in Bolivia. Here we'll stop to visit the shrine and explore a little of the town. Our journey continues with a Hydrofoil Cruise to Moon Island where we'll visit Iñak Uyu - the Sun Virgins Temple. We continue to Sun Island to visit Pilcocaina Sun Temple. Next enjoy a Llama Trek on the ancient Inca Trails to your hotel (45 min trek) with a stop for lunch en route.

Day 8: Lake Titicaca

This morning we descend to Yumani Harbour and visit the “Grand Inca Stairs” and Sacred Fountain. Enjoy a spot of lunch at the archaeological & panoramic Uma Kollu Restaurant. We continue by Hydrofoil to Huatajata, “Andean Roots Eco-Village” cross-cultural program. Here you'll meet the Limachi family, builders of historical Totora-Reed Boats used to cross the Atlantic. Later this evening enjoy a night visit to the Mystic World of the Kallawayas, natural healers and wise men. You'll also visit the Alajpacha native cosmic observatory. Overnight Inca Utama Hotel & SPA.

Day 9: Lake Titicaca - La Paz

Departing Lake Titicaca this morning we journey on a road running parallel to the gorgeous Royal Andes Range. Arriving into La Paz, the highest capital in the world, hotel check in followed by a half day city tour and an excursion to the Moon Valley.

Day 10: La Paz - Buenos Aires

Today we'll transfer you to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires where upon your arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 11: Buenos Aires

Often labelled the ‘Paris of South America’, Buenos Aires is a seductive mix of elegant architecture, characterful residents and fantastic entertainment options. This morning enjoy a tour (SHARED SERVICE) taking in the Neoclassical Metropolitan Cathedral, the unusual dusty pink Government House and the history-packed Plaza de Mayo. Later in the evening you will be collected from your hotel for a scheduled transfer to Café de Los Angelitos for a night of love, passion, madness and glamour with a traditional tango show. Born in the brothels of the 1920s, Argentine tango is a completely improvised dance and attracts both the old and the young.

Day 12: Buenos Aires

Day at leisure for you to independently explore Buenos Aires.

Day 13: Buenos Aires - Iguazu Falls (Argentina)

This morning we will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Iguazu Falls where upon your arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel for check in and a chance to drop off your luggage. Later you will join a half day scheduled tour (SHARED SERVICE) of the Brazilian side of the falls, walking along catwalks that allow you to see the torrents of water at their most impressive.

Day 14: Iguazu Falls (Argentina)

Today enjoy a full day excursion (SHARED SERVICE) to the Argentinean side of the falls. A number of walking trails are available bringing you in front of or above the rapids. You’ll also see the dramatic Garganta del Diablo or Devil’s Throat, an awe-inspiring display of natural power.

Day 15: Iguazu Falls (Argentina) - Rio De Janeiro

Enjoy a leisurely morning at your hotel or revisit the falls independently. Later this afternoon we transfer you to the airport for your flight to Rio de Janeiro, party capital of the world. Arriving into Rio you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 16: Rio De Janeiro

Today enjoy a full day excursion to Rio's most famous sights (SHARED SERVICE). Take the cable car up Sugarloaf Mountain for incredible views over the city. We'll also visit Corcovado, the famous statue of Christ that looms large over Rio. A BBQ lunch is also included.

Day 17: Rio De Janeiro

Day at leisure for you to independently explore Rio or head to the famous beaches of Copacabana or Ipanema. Later this evening enjoy a traditional BBQ Dinner in a churrascaria followed by a Samba show at Plataforma (shuttle service).

Day 18: Rio De Janeiro

Today marks the end of your adventure with On the Go Tours. After breakfast and hotel check out we will transfer you to the airport in time for your onward departure flight. End of services.
