Day 1: Buenos Aires

Bienviendos a Argentina! Upon arrival into the international airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel where the rest of the day can be spent at leisure.

Day 2: Buenos Aires

This morning enjoy a guided city tour taking in the Neoclassical Metropolitan Cathedral, the unusual dusty pink Government House and the history-packed Plaza de Mayo. Head to the neighbourhood of San Telmo where street performers gather to display the sensuous dance of tango, and continue to La Boca, a colourful suburb popular with local artists. Wander the attractive streets of Palermo until you reach Recoleta and the famous cemetery of the same name.

Day 3: Buenos Aires - El Calafate

After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight to El Calafate, the starting point for excursions to one of Argentina’s most famous natural wonders – the Pertio Moreno glacier. On arrival, transfer to your hotel. Remainder of day free.

Day 4: El Calafate

Measuring 30km in length, the monstrous Perito Moreno glacier is a jagged mass of crevasses and towering columns of ice. It’s also unusual in the sense that it is actually growing in size and constantly moving forward. Today enjoy a full day excursion beginning at Brazo Rico where you will be able to spot floating icebergs and continuing with a nautical safari on Rico Lake for spectacular views of the ice walls.

Day 5: El Calafate

Today is at your leisure which offers a chance for you to continue exploring the southern sector of Parque Nacional los Glaciares independently or enjoy some downtime at Lago Argentino.

Day 6: El Calafate - Punta Arenas

This morning we take you to the bus station to catch the public bus to Puerto Natales. Arriving here, you switch buses and continue onto Punta Arenas.

Day 7: Punta Arenas

First stop is the Cerro de la Cruz view point for magnificent views of the city’s colourful rooftops, the Strait of Magellan and in the distance, the large island of Tierra del Fuego. Back in Punta Arenas visit the main square with its many beautiful buildings and the Salesian Museum, displaying a complete collection on Patagonian. In the afternoon take an excursion to the colony of Magellanic penguins at Seno Otway. Beachfront hides allow visitors to observe the birds amble out of the water for feeding time. The route here along the Strait of Magellan is particularly scenic as it passes into Patagonian steppe.

Day 8: Punta Arenas - Torres del Paine

This morning you will be transferred to your hotel in the Torres del Paine National Park. Home to the incredible Paine Massif, a small range of mountains with unusual, twisted peaks, the national park is a striking expanse of flat brown pampa and glacial lakes.

Day 9: Torres del Paine

With our local expert guide spend one day trekking the Ascencio Valley getting up close to the astounding Towers of Paine mountain range.

Day 10: Torres del Paine

Today is at your leisure. You could take a ferry across Pehoe Lake to Grey Glacier View Point for striking vistas of the centenary icebergs or you could trek to Sarmiento Lake to examine the calcium carbonate formations. The activities and excursions on offer will ensure you see the very best of this incredible national park.

Day 11: Torres del Paine - Santiago

Today we return to Punta Arenas and from here you fly to Santiago. Arriving into Santi, meet our local team who will transfer you to your hotel.

Day 12: Santiago - Easter Island

Returning to the airport this morning you will fly to Easter Island. After arrival transfer enjoy a half tour of Ahu Tahai & Akivi. (OVERNIGHT EASTER ISLAND)

Day 13: Easter Island

Enjoy a full day exploring some of the highlights such as Maoi Quarry, Rano Raraku, Ahu Tongariki and Anakena Beach. This afternoon enjoy a trip to the Motus then return to your hotel by evening. (OVERNIGHT EASTER ISLAND)

Day 14: Easter Island

This morning you have an excursion to Orongo Village and Vinapu before returning to the airport for your flight back to Santiago. Arriving here, a transfer awaits to take you to your hotel.

Day 15: Easter Island - Rio De Janeiro

Today you will return to the airport for your flight to Rio De Janeiro. Arriving here, our trusty local driver will drive you to your hotel.

Days 16-18: Rio De Janeiro

Enjoy New Years eve and the few days there after exploring Rio at your leisure.

Day 19: Rio De Janeiro - Amazon Jungle - Brazil

This morning we transfer to the airport for your flight to Manaus, which is the gateway to the Amazon in Brazil. Arriving here, you transfer Transfer from airport or hotel to pier. Passengers check-in at Iberostar reception office in the harbor building. Embark, accommodation in cabins and reservation of tables in the restaurant. 6:00pm Ship departs to Manacapuru, passing by Ponta Negra. Captain's welcome cocktail party, presentation of officers and crew in the Lua salon, Lecture on safety and abandon ship procedures. Welcome dinner in the Kuarup restaurant. Live music and first contacts in the party salon and open bar on the top deck.

Day 20: Amazon Jungle - Brazil

Passing through Manacapuru harbor. Sunrise Lovers Breakfast at the upper deck. Breakfast in the Kuarup restaurant. Trekking and photo safari in the Manacapuru region, Boat ride to Igarapés e Igapós. Lunch in the Kuarup restaurant. Reaching "Lago do Jacaré". Piranha fishing (optional), Bird watching at Lago do Rei. Music watching the sunset at the upper deck. Dinner in the Kuarup restaurant. Alligator spotting

Day 21: Amazon Jungle - Brazil

Reaching Janauacá. Sunrise Lovers Breakfast at the upper deck. Bird watching at Lago Janauacá Lunch in the Kuarup restaurant. Photo safari at Lago Janauacá. Trekking on land - 2 trails. On the way to Igarapé do Rei - Rio Amazonas. Lunch in the Kuarup restaurant. Igarapé do Rei. Bird watching and Alligator spotting at Igarapé do Rei. Boat excursion through the "Igarapés". Goodbye dinner in the Kuarup restaurant.

Day 22: Amazon Jungle - Brazil - Rio De Janeiro

On the way to "encontro das águas". Sunrise Lovers Breakfast at the upper deck. Breakfast in the Kuarup restaurant. Check-out and arrival at Manaus around 11:30 hrs and we transfer to the airport for your flight back to Rio.

Day 23: Rio De Janeiro - Iguazu Falls (Brazil)

This morning we return to the airport for your direct flight to Iguacu Falls (Brazil Side) Today tour the Brazilian side of the falls, walking along catwalks that allow you to see the torrents of water at their most impressive.

Day 24: Iguazu Falls (Brazil)

Enjoy a full day excursion to the Argentinean side of the falls. A number of walking trails are available bringing you in front of or above the rapids. You'll also see the dramatic Garganta del Diablo or Devil’s Throat, an awe-inspiring display of natural power.

Day 25: Iguazu Falls (Brazil) - Lima

This morning we transfer to the airport (ARGENTINA) for your flight to Lima (Via Buenos Aires) Arriving into Lima, a transfer waits to take you to your hotel.

Day 26: Lima - Cuzco

After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight to Cuzco, known to the Incas as the ‘navel of the world’. This afternoon enjoy your guided tour fof what is considered the archaeological capital of South America, Cuzco is home to some of the finest examples of Inca history and architecture, which you will discover touring the sights of the Plaza de Armas, the Catedral and the Koricancha complex – a supreme example of Inca stonework. Head out further afield to tour the Kenko Amphitheatre, the fortified hunting lodge of Puca Pucara, the stunning imperial baths of Tambo Machay and the megalithic fortress of Sacsayhuaman.

Day 27: Cuzco

Known as the Sacred Valley, the area between Cuzco and Machu Picchu is littered with traditional Andean villages and fascinating Inca ruins. Today you explore the region starting with the textile centre of Awanacancha where the art of Incan textile is kept alive. Continue to the archaeological complex of Pisac, formed of a collection of remains of Incan dwellings, temples and terracing. Practise your bartering skills at the local market before stopping for lunch then continue to the impressive fortress and citadel of Ollantaytambo.

Day 28: Cuzco - Inca Trail

We depart Cuzco early in the morning to begin the infamous Inca Trail Trek. Today is a relatively easy walk of 13km and will prepare you for the trail’s highest pass tomorrow.

Day 29: Inca Trail

Today we cross the highest pass called Warmiwanusca, at a height of 4,200m! The name translates as ‘Dead Woman’s Pass’ and we’ll reach it by lunch time on the second day of our trek. After the high pass we follow the trail downhill as it winds its way along old Inca stairs.

Day 30: Inca Trail

Today we hike and visit the ruins of Runkurakay, Sayacmarca and Phuyupatamarca, walking approximately 15 kilometres in seven hours and spending the night in Winay-Wayna.

Day 31: Inca Trail - Cuzco

Early this morning we walk the final leg to the Lost City of Machu Picchu and greet daybreak over the famous ‘Sun Gate’. Today enjoy a guided tour of the site you will explore the remarkably preserved palaces, baths, temples, storage rooms and some 150 houses, surviving intact due to the city’s isolation.Later in the day you will have the chance to soak your tired muscles in the hot springs at Aguas Calientes before returning to Cuzco by train.

Day 32: Cuzco - Lima

Today you return to the airport for your flight to Lima. Arriving here, a transfer awaits. After we discover why Lima has historically been such an important city with a private sightseeing tour that covers Lima’s most impressive colonial buildings as well as a number of fascinating museums.

Day 33: Lima - La Paz

This morning return to the airport for your flight to La Paz. Arriving here, our local team await to transfer you to your hotel. Spend the afternoon at leisure we would highly recommend going for a walk in the old part of the city.

Day 34: La Paz - Uyuni / Salar De Uyuni Region

After breakfast you return to the airport for your Amaszonas airlines flight to Uyuni. Arriving here, you will be transferred to your hotel. Spend the day preparing for the trip into some of the most remote wilderness on earth starting tomorrow morning.

Day 35: Uyuni / Salar De Uyuni Region

Today we depart for the incredible salt flats of Uyuni. Arrive into Colchani which is the best place to observe the methods of salt extraction from the salar. Included today is a trip to Fish Island, a unique oasis with giant cacti reaching 10m high. There’s also time to see the cemetery of trains where the remains of 19th century steam locomotives rest. Enjoy lunch out on the salt flats. Lunch is taken in the middle of the Salt Flats and later on continue to the archaeology museum of Coqusa and on to the exclusive Hotel Palacio de Sal built entirely of salt. This evening opt for a night stroll through the eerie surroundings.

Day 36: Uyuni / Salar De Uyuni Region

Following breakfast we head for the Red Lagoon (Laguna Colorada). We pass through the Siloli Desert where we encounter spectacular landscapes with multi coloured volcanic rock formations and stop at other lagoons en route. Covering an area of 60 square kilometres, the lagoon has a rich red colouration derived from algae and plankton which thrive in its minerals. The shoreline is fringed with brilliant white deposits of sodium, magnesium, borax and gypsum and the lagoon is inhabited by numerous flamingos, three unique species of which breed there.

Day 37: Uyuni / Salar De Uyuni Region - San Pedro de Atacama

Leaving Laguna Colorada we visit the volcanic zone ‘Sol de Mañana' (Morning Sun) at 4,850 metres above sea level. Here you'll discover a geyser basin with bubbling mud pots, hellish fumaroles and a thick aroma of sulphur fumes. Inside a small crater we will observe boiling lava and we will also stop at hot springs where you can bathe. Crossing a 5,000 metre pass we come to Laguna Verde (Green Lagoon) rich in lead, sulphur and calcium carbonate and shadowed by the cone of the Licancabur Volcano. Continuing on we will cross into Chile and come to San Pedro de Atacama in the world's driest desert.

Day 38: San Pedro de Atacama - Santiago

Morning or afternoon we will transfer you to the airport in Calama in time for the flight to Santiago. Arriving into Santiago enjoy time at your leisure after your arrival transfer.

Day 39: Santiago

Sadly your journey has come to an end, we will transfer you to the airport in time for your flight home.
