Bienviendos a Peru! Welcome to Peru and the start of your journey through the land of the Incas. Upon arrival into Lima International Airport you will be met by one of our representatives and transferred to your hotel. After check in spend some time with our rep discussing your up-coming trip. The remainder of the day is free for you to enjoy at leisure.
Today discover why Lima has historically been such an important city with a scheduled sightseeing tour that covers Lima’s most impressive colonial buildings as well as a number of fascinating museums. The afternoon is free for you to explore Lima further.
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight to Cuzco, known to the Incas as the ‘navel of the world’. This afternoon explore what is considered the archaeological capital of South America, Cuzco is home to some of the finest examples of Inca history and architecture, which you will discover touring the sights of the Plaza de Armas, the Catedral and the Koricancha complex – a supreme example of Inca stonework, on an afternoon scheduled tour. Head out further afield to tour the Kenko Amphitheatre, the fortified hunting lodge of Puca Pucara, the stunning imperial baths of Tambo Machay and the megalithic fortress of Sacsayhuaman.
Explore the area today on a full day scheduled excursion. On the way to the ancient village of Urubamba stop to visit Awanacancha, an Andean textile centre where the art of Incan textile is kept alive. Continue to the archaeological complex of Pisac, formed of a collection of remains of Incan dwellings, temples and terracing. Enjoy a spot of shopping and practise your bartering skills at the local market before stopping for lunch. The day of touring concludes with a visit to the impressive fortress and citadel of Ollantaytambo.
This morning a scenic train journey followed by a bus ride brings you to the legendary ‘Lost City’ of Machu Picchu on a scheduled excursion. Set on a mountainous peak overlooking a deep canyon on the Urubamba River, the ancient Inca city is indeed one of South America’s most impressive sights. Be amazed by the incredibly well-preserved plazas, towers and temples as you enjoy a guided tour of Machu Picchu. Lunch at a local hotel follows before returning to Cuzco by train.
Today enjoy a spectacular 10 hour rail journey to Puno. Passing the gentle, rolling Andean Plains where vicuña and alpacas roam freely, the train climbs to 4335m above sea level at La Raya, offering incredible views of the towering, snow-capped Andean mountains. During the journey you will be served a three course lunch in the dining car followed by coffee served in the observation-bar car. Arriving into Puno you will be transferred to your hotel.
After breakfast board a yacht from Puno port for a shared cruise and tour around the floating islands of Uros. Inhabited by fishermen and hunters, these beautiful islands are made from totora reeds and were built in order to escape the imposition of invading cultures. Your cruise continues to the genuine island of Amantani, renowned for the fine crafts made by inhabitants. Enjoy lunch in the community before visiting the hilltop sanctuaries of Pachatata and Pachamama.
After breakfast the next morning continue to the neighbouring island of Taquile. The peasant community of this island has kept intact the customs and traditions of their ancestors and a visit here is like taking a step back in time. After lunch visit archaeological ruins and soak up the immensity of Lake Titicaca – the world’s highest navigable lake – from the beautiful beaches that line Taquile’s shore. Later return to Puno.
This morning we assist you to the bus station for catching the tourist bis service to La Paz Bolivia which makes a stop in Copacabana and the frontier for border formalities along the way, all very straightforward and clearly explained to you as you go along. Arriving into La Paz city, meet our team who will transfer you to your hotel.
Enjoy a full day tour of this scenic city - visit world-class museums like the Gold, Murillo and Costumbrista, explore traditional street markets and head up to the Mirador de Killy Killy for fantastic views over the city. Later on marvel at the geological formations of the Vally of the moon, 10km outside of town.
This morning we drive to Bellavista stopping along the way to explore Rurrenabaque here is the gateway town to the Pampas of Bolivia from here you will drive out to the Ranch where you will stay for the next few days. (OVERNIGHT Santa Maria La Antigua Ranch)

Often labelled the ‘Paris of South America’, Buenos Aires, or simply BA, is a seductive mix of elegant architecture, characterful residents and fantastic entertainment options. This morning join a scheduled city tour taking in the Neoclassical Metropolitan Cathedral, the unusual dusty pink Government House and the history-packed Plaza de Mayo. Head to the neighbourhood of San Telmo where street performers gather to display the sensuous dance of tango, and continue to La Boca, a colourful suburb popular with local artists. Wander the attractive streets of Palermo until you reach Recoleta and the famous cemetery of the same name.
After breakfast this morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Puerto Iguazu, your base for exploring the magnificent Iguazu Falls. Straddling the border between Argentina and Brazil, the Iguazu Falls are composed of over 250 separate cascades. Upon arrival a scheduled transfer will take you to your hotel, and later you will join a scheduled tour of the Brazilian side of the falls, walking along catwalks that allow you to see the torrents of water at their most impressive.
Enjoy a scheduled full day excursion to the Argentinean side of the falls. A number of walking trails are available bringing you in front of or above the rapids. You’ll also see the dramatic Garganta del Diablo or Devil’s Throat, an awe-inspiring display of natural power.
This morning we return to the airport and catch a flight to Mendoza. Arriving here, you will be met and transferred to the Club Tapiz Hotel

This morning you will be taken back to Mendoza City and assisted in catching the public bus to Santiago the journey is incredibly scenic going up and over the Andes so sit back and enjoy the journey. Arriving into Santiago, you will meet our driver who will take you onto your hotel.
Encircled by snow-capped Andean peaks, the city of Santiago enjoys a particularly spectacular setting. This morning join a scheduled tour of the city to discover Santiago’s appealing blend of the old and new. Walking to the Plaza de Armas gaze at the handsome colonial architecture including the grandiose Catedral Metropolitana, the Post Office and the Santiago City Hall. Continue to the Government Palace and the older neighbourhood of Plaza Concha y Toro marked by cobblestone streets and elegant 20th century mansions.
This morning you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Puerto Montt in the southern region of Chile’s Lake District. On arrival you will be collected and transferred to your hotel in Puerto Varas, a smart little town with excellent tourist facilities. Remainder of the day at leisure.
Located on the shore of the Pacific Ocean, Puerto Montt is the region’s prime fishing centre. Joining a scheduled tour this morning you will visit the Cathedral in Puerto Montt, as well as the lively seafood market and colourful handicraft market of Angelmó. You’ll also visit the Sagrado Corazón de Jesús church and enjoy the panoramic views of Tenglo Island from the bay. Heading back to Puerto Varas the afternoon will be free for you to soak up the vistas of Lake Llanquihue or make the most of the city’s good food and beautiful gardens.
Bordering Argentina, the Parque Nacional Vicente Pérez Rosales is a stunning collection of pristine lakes and forests with the Lagos Todos Los Santos its centrepiece. This morning visit the Petrohué waterfalls and enjoy a sailing trip on the Todos Los Santos Lake taking in the sights of the Osorno, Puntiagudo and Tronador volcanoes. At the far end of the lake is Peulla, a small ecological village of 150 inhabitants where you can opt to partake in the adventure activities available.
Departing Puerto Varas begin the journey to the haven of rural tranquillity that is the Chiloé archipelago. From the small fishing village of Pargua board a ferry that crosses the Chacao Chanel with the chance to see sea lions and playful dolphins along the way. On arrival at Chiloé we drive you to Castro where will stay at Palifito 1326.
Today is a free day for you to explore Chiloe further. Head to the waterfront to see the traditional palafitos, Chile’s last remaining fishermen’s houses on stilts, or sample Chiloé’s national dish curanto at a restaurant in town.
This morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Punta Arenas in southern Patagonia. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel.
This morning you will be transferred to your hotel in the Torres del Paine National Park. Home to the incredible Paine Massif, a small range of mountains with unusual, twisted peaks, the national park is a striking expanse of flat brown pampa and glacial lakes.
Over the next days you will have ample opportunity to partake in the many activities offered by your hotel and payable locally. You might spend one day trekking the Ascencio Valley getting up close to the astounding Towers of Paine mountain range or horse ride to Cerro Paine for spectacular views of the Nothafagus forest. You could take a ferry across Pehoe Lake to Grey Glacier View Point for striking vistas of the centenary icebergs or you could trek to Sarmiento Lake to examine the calcium carbonate formations. The activities and excursions on offer will ensure you see the very best of this incredible national park.
