Day 1: Iquitos and the Amazon

Welcome to Peru! Make your way by speed boat across the border and arrive into Iquitos from Leticia -- Make your own way to the hotel.

Meeting time in Iquitos will be 9am at a designated point. From here meet our local rep whom will assist with getting to the Lodges operated boat transfer to make your way out to the Jungle Lodge. After lunch enjoy a boat trip on lake sapote to see various birds, monkeys and more, sunset in the forest of mirrors then a night boat excursion to see the Caimans.

Day 3: Iquitos and the Amazon

Today is a full day in the jungle of hiking, boating activities all with your expert naturalist guide from the Lodge.

Day 4: Iquitos and the Amazon - Lima

Using small boats will take you to the Amazon River, where you will experience the most magical moment of your trip, which is to watch and swim with pink dolphins playing around your boat. On the way back to the lodge, you will see the biggest aquatic plant in the world, the famous Victoria Regia. It is also easy to see iguanas. Lunch at the lodge then sadly back to Iquitos for the evening flight to Lima - Arrival meet our local rep and transfer to your hotel.

Day 5: Lima

Enjoy a free day to explore the fantastic city of Lima.

Enjoy a free day to explore the fantastic city of Lima.

Day 7: Lima - Cuzco

Today you will fly to Cuzco - Take a mid morning flight. Arrival transfer to your hotel.

Day 8: Cuzco

Enjoy a free day to explore the ‘navel of the world’ and discover why it’s considered the archaeological capital of South America.

Day 9: Cuzco - Sacred Valley

Today make your way into the sacred valley. On the way to the ancient village of Urubamba stop to visit Awanacancha, an Andean textile centre where the art of Incan textile is kept alive. Continue to the archaeological complex of Pisac, formed of a collection of remains of Incan dwellings, temples and terracing. The day of touring concludes with a visit to the impressive fortress and citadel of Ollantaytambo.

Day 10: Sacred Valley - Aguas Calientes

Early morning we head off to start our walk at Km104 and enjoy a four hour walk uphill to Wiñay Wayna and a couple of hours further to Machu Picchu making it ideal for trekkers wanting to experience at least a part of the Inca Trail but haven't got the time. Arrival and we will transfer you to your hotel.
