Days 1-2: Santiago

Welcome to South America! On arrival in Santiago you will be met be a representative and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the afternoon and tomorrow are yours free to explore the city. Overnight Hotel Atton El Bosque.

Day 3: Santiago - Cuzco

This morning you will be met at your hotel and transferred to the airport for your onward flight to Cuzco. ( Flight not included) On arrival in Cusco you will be met at the airport and transferred to you hotel for a free evening to adjust to the altitude. Overnight: Costa del Sol Picoaga Hotel

Day 4: Cuzco

Today is a free day to explore Cuzco at your own pace. Standing on the ruins of ancient Inca temples and palaces, the colourful city of Cuzco is a captivating blend of traditional Andean culture, architectural wonders dating from the time of the Incas to the colonial era, and a majestic setting in a highland valley. As well as offering exclusive access to Machu Picchu, Cuzco has a long list of attractions from the charming Plaza de Armas and imposing Catedral to the masterful stonework ruins of the Koricancha Inca complex. Day 5: Cuzco

Today again you have free time to explore Cuzco on your own. Perhaps consider traveling south of Cuzco to the impressive Tipón ruins, a complex of Inca temples and aqueducts with amazingly preserved agricultural terraces, watered by channels lined with stone. Hidden in a natural valley shelf, the ruins are practically deserted with no habitation in sight. Perfect as a day trip, on the return journey to Cuzco stop at the traditional village of Saylla and try chicharrones, a delicious local pork dish. Nowhere better will you find such a dish and with barely a tourist in sight, it’s a chance to see the real Peru. Overnight: Costa del Sol Picoaga Hotel

Day 6: Cuzco - Aguas Calientes

Today you will be transferred from your hotel to Ollantaytambo train station where you will take the Vistadome train to Machu Picchu (Shared service/ without guide)and will be met on arrival and assisted with your check in at your hotel. The Vistadome train has large side and overhead windows which allow spectacular vies of the mountainous terrain- a amazing way to travel! This afternoon you have time to explore Machu Picchu on your own if you choose. Overnight: Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge.

Day 7: Aguas Calientes

Today start bright and early traveling to Machu Picchu in time to see the sun rise. We tour the legendary 'Lost City', one of the world's most impressive archaeological sites. Built by the Incas on the summit of "Machu Picchu" overlooking the deep canyon of the Urubamba river. Machu Picchu was probably the most amazing urban creation of the Inca Empire, with its giant walls, terraces and ramps, which appear as though they have been cut naturally in the continuous rock escarpments. We take a guided tour of the Citade Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sun Dial, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and various burial grounds. Overnight: Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge.

Day 8: Aguas Calientes - Cuzco

This morning you take the morning Vistadome train back to Cuzco where on arrival you will be met at the train station and transferred to your hotel for a free evening to relax after. Overnight: Costa del Sol Picoaga Hotel

Day 9: Cuzco - Puerto Maldonado and the Amazon

This morning we transfer you to the airport for your flight into the Amazon! On arrival at the airport we will be met by our guide(Shared services) and travel to Puerto Maldonado, where you pack only the necessary gear for the next few days, and leave the rest a safe deposit. Travel to Tambopata River Port and transfer via boat to Posada Amazonas. This afternoon take a twenty minute walk to the to the scaffolding canopy tower. A bannistered staircase running through the middle provides safe access to the platforms above. From atop you obtain spectacular views of the vast expanses of standing forest cut by the Tambopata River. Overnight: Posada Amazonas

Day 10: Puerto Maldonado and the Amazon

Today enjoy lodge activities interspersed with free time to relax and take in the scenery. Remember your mosquito repellent! Excursions include: Tres Chimbadas Oxbow Lake, thirty minutes by boat ride a forty five minutes walk from Posada Amazonas to view the resident family of nine giant river otters and other lakeside wildlife. Parrot Clay Lick, a twenty minute walk from Posada Amazonas, about twenty meters away you will see dozens of parrots and parakeets descend on most clear mornings to ingest the clay on a river bank. Ethnobotanical Tour, a twenty minute boat drive downriver to visit a communal organization that produces medicines out of forest plants. There is also an optional night walk. Day 11: Puerto Maldonado and the Amazon

Today there are more opportunities to enjoy the lodge activities or simply relax. Perhaps revisit the Clay Lick early morning to once again Species such as Mealy and Yellowheaded Amazon, Blue-headed Parrot and Dusky headed Parakeet enjoy the clay. Other activities include a Ceiba Trail Hike,embark on a two hour walk crowned by the largest tree in the vicinity: a giant ceiba tree. Farm Visit, a thirty minute boat drive downriver takes us to the most complete farm in the community of Infierno. The owner grows a diverse variety of popular and unknown Amazon crops. In his garden, just about every plant and tree serves a purpose. Overnight: Posada Amazonas

Day 12: Puerto Maldonado and the Amazon

Today we say goodbye to the beautiful Amazon as we return by boat to Tambopata River port and then are transferred back to Puerto Maldonado Headquarters to collect our belongings. From here we are transferred to the airport for your flight to Rio De Janeiro! On arrival in Rio you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel.

Day 13:

RIO DE JANEIRO- Today is a free day to relax and enjoy this amazing city. Overnight: Portinari Hotel

Day 14:

RIO DE JANEIRO Over a million tourists a year visit the world famous Pão de Açúcar, or Sugar Loaf Mountain. The first cable-car we board will take you to the top of Urca Hill, 215 m above sea level offering spectacular views of the entire bay. From here the second cable car continues to the top of Sugar Loaf, 395m above sea level offering 360o view of the entire city. We then visit We will depart from the hotel to visit the Christ Statue. Following a scenic drive along the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, we will arrive at the foot of the hill from where we ill embark on a small train which climbs the beautiful mountain. We conclude with a drive along Rio’s famous beaches. Overnight: Portinari Hotel

Days 15-16:

RIO DE JANEIRO Now enjoy free time in Rio to take in the sunshine and the local culture, until day 16 when you will be collected from your hotel and transferred to the airport for your flight to Iguazu Falls. On Arrival in Iguazu you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Overnight: Sheraton Iguazu Hotel

Day 17: Iguazu Falls (Argentina)

Today is a free day to enjoy Iguazu Falls at your own leisure. The park was created in 1934 with the main aim to protect the majestic Iguazu Falls. In 1984, the UNESCO declared this place Natural World Heritage due to the beauty of the scenery and the biological diversity in this subtropical rain forest. Staying at one of the only Hotels in the Park you can enjoy spectacular views of the falls from your hotel window, or explore the park at your own pace. Overnight: Sheraton Iguazu Hotel

Day 18: Iguazu Falls (Argentina) - Santiago

Today we will provide you with a departure transfer to Foc do Iguacu airport where you will catch your flight back to Santiago. ( flight not included) On arrival in Santiago You will be met by a representative and transferred to your hotel. Overnight- Hotel Atton El Bosque

Days 19-20: Santiago

Our tour concludes with free time in Santiago until your departure flight home on the 12th of October. Our arrangements come to an end with a departure transfer to the airport and many wonderful memories.
