Day 1: Cuzco

Welcome to South America! Upon arrival into Cusco, you will be met by our representative and will be escorted to your hotel. This afternoon you will go on a shared sightseeing tour of the city of Cusco, archaeological capital of South America. A visit of the city's most important historical monuments, The Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, the Koricancha Temple, and a visit to the surrounding ruins of the Kenko Amphitheater, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara, and Sacsayhuaman Fortress. After the tour you will be driven back to your hotel. This evening enjoy a private transfer to a local restaurant for dinner accompanied by a folklore show. Overnight Monasterio Hotel.

Day 2: Cuzco

En route towards the Urubamba Valley, you will have the chance to visit Awanacancha, an Andean textile center whose principal objective is to maintain the wealth of Incan textile art alive. Continue the visit with the Pisac Markets where you will have the chance to interact with the local folk and even barter with the merchants. Lunch will be served at a local countryside restaurant. Later we visit the Incan fortress and citadel of Ollantaytambo. Overnight Monasterio Hotel.

Day 3: Cuzco - Machu Picchu

Early transfer to Poroy train Station to board the Hiram Bingham Orient Express train that will take you to the town of Aguas Calientes. From here you will board the bus that will take you to the citadel of Machu Picchu. Upon arrival you will have a guided tour of the Inca Citadel which is provided by Orient Express & will be with others that came with you on the Hiram Bingham train. When you finish exploring you will have an afternoon tea at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge. Overnight Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge.

Day 4: Machu Picchu

Today is a free day for you to relax or explore independently. Today presents an excellent opportunity to wake up early and enjoy a beautiful sunrise and then, you will have time to visit the Citadel of Machu Picchu for a second time (no guide included). Or, for more active and adventurous people, you may wish to try and climb up the Huayna Picchu (not included - extra costs applicable) from where you can appreciate the immensity of Machu Picchu, even more amazing being so high and distant. Day 5: Machu Picchu - Cuzco

Today take the bus down to Aguas Calientes town and will be escorted to the station to return to Cusco. Departure on the Hiram Bingham train is at 5:50 PM, pre-dinner cocktails will be served in the bar accompanied by live entertainment, and afterwards a 4-course a la carte dinner will be presented in the dining cars. The train will pull into Poroy station in Cusco at 9:16pm where you have a private transfer to your hotel in Cusco. Overnight Monasterio Hotel.

Day 6: Cuzco

Sadly your final day with us with your departure airport transfer.
