Bienviendos a Argentina! Upon arrival into the international airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel where the rest of the day can be spent at leisure.
Often labelled the ‘Paris of South America’, Buenos Aires, or simply BA, is a seductive mix of elegant architecture, characterful residents and fantastic entertainment options. This morning join a scheduled city tour taking in the Neoclassical Metropolitan Cathedral, the unusual dusty pink Government House and the history-packed Plaza de Mayo. Head to the neighbourhood of San Telmo where street performers gather to display the sensuous dance of tango, and continue to La Boca, a colourful suburb popular with local artists. Wander the attractive streets of Palermo until you reach Recoleta and the famous cemetery of the same name.
Today we enjoy a half day boat tour to San Isidro and Tigre, which goes along the coastal area of Buenos Aires, starting in Del Libertador Av. Costanera (coast of the river), Jorge Newbery Airport and River Plate stadium. Then, this passes by the Presidential House of Olivos, before the arrival in San Isidro town. After exploring here, we continue to El Tigre Town so to board on a boat and sail the channels and the branches of the delta region then drive back to your hotel, afternoon remains at your leisure.
After breakfast this morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Puerto Iguazu, your base for exploring the magnificent Iguazu Falls. Straddling the border between Argentina and Brazil, the Iguazu Falls are composed of over 250 separate cascades. Upon arrival a transfer awaits to take you to your hotel.
Enjoy a scheduled full day excursion to the Argentinean side of the falls. A number of walking trails are available bringing you in front of or above the rapids. You’ll also see the dramatic Garganta del Diablo or Devil’s Throat, an awe-inspiring display of natural power.
Today you will join a scheduled tour of the Brazilian side of the falls, walking along catwalks that allow you to see the torrents of water at their most impressive.
This morning we drop you at the airport ans assist with your catching the flight to El Calafate. Upon arrival at El Calafate airport, you will be met by our representative and escorted to your hotel.
Measuring 30km in length, the monstrous Perito Moreno glacier is a jagged mass of crevasses and towering columns of ice. It’s also unusual in the sense that it is actually growing in size and constantly moving forward. Today enjoy a full day scheduled excursion beginning at Brazo Rico where you will be able to spot floating icebergs and continuing with a nautical safari on Rico Lake for spectacular views of the ice walls.
Today offers a chance for you to continue exploring the southern sector of Parque Nacional los Glaciares independently or enjoy some downtime at Lago Argentino. Other options include a full day tour to the Bosque Pertificado La Leona, a petrified forest with fossilised trunks and dinosaur bones.
We return to El Calafate airport, in time for your flight to the End Of The World! Arriving into Ushuaia, meet our local team who will see you to your hotel.
Taking National Route 3 as part of a scheduled tour you’ll discover some of the park’s most stunning natural sights including Pipo River, Ensenada Bay, Redonda Island, Roca Lake, Verde and Negra Lagoons and Castores Dam. Rich in flora and fauna, the park also offers ample variety of wildlife.
Today we board a ship in Ushuaia Bay for a scheduled cruise on the Beagle Channel. The cruise will reveal excellent views of Ushuaia as well as Olivia Mount and the Encajonado River. You’ll also see Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse and pass Pajaros Island where sun-seeking penguins and fur seals come to rest on the pebbly shores.
Taking to the sky once more we fly north to Mendoza, the wine capital of Argentina. Arriving here, meet with our driver who will take you to your hotel.
Today we will join a scheduled tour of the Wine Route. The valleys around Mendoza are primarily farmland producing delicious olives, almonds, cherries, plums and of course, wine. Touring two wine cellars observe how wine is made, from the picking of the grape to the bottling of the final product, with time for a cheeky glass or two!
Today is spent exploring the Uco Valley wine region which is an alternative for those Nature lovers. The beautiful landscapes combine perfectly with the typical crops in this area: wine, fruits and olives. The combination of altitude, the soil, the irrigation, the more than 250 days with sun, the scares rain and the wide difference in temperature form the day to night favour the vineyards in the Uco Valley. These weather and geographical elements provide an excellent growing and concentration of sugar in the grapes, giving them deep colours, profound aromas, tasteful favours and important textures all of which you sample today visiting some wineries.
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before transferring to the airport for your flight to Bariloche in the south of Argentina’s Lake District.
Over the next days you are free to independently explore Bariloche and the surrounding lakes. Spend some time getting to know the alpine style town and its quaint chocolate shops or head for the hills and partake in outdoor activities ranging from mountain biking to horse riding.
After breakfast take a scheduled transfer to the airport for your flight to the big smoke of Buenos Aires. Arriving here, a transfer awaits to take you onto your hotel.
Enjoy the day to explore the city on your own. Later in the evening you will be collected from your hotel for a scheduled transfer to Café de Los Angelitos for a night of love, passion, madness and glamour with a traditional tango show. Born in the brothels of the 1920s, Argentine tango is a completely improvised dance and attracts both the old and the young.
Sadly your journey has come to an end, we will transfer you to the airport for your flight home.
