Bienviendos a Peru! Welcome to Peru and the start of your journey through the land of the Incas. Upon arrival into Lima International Airport you will be met by one of our representatives and transferred to your hotel. After check in spend some time with our rep discussing your up-coming trip. The remainder of the day is free for you to enjoy at leisure.
This morning visit a local market in Surquillo where your guide will explain how Peruvian fruits and vegetable are the bases of diverse Peruvian cooking. Afterward, visit Barranco’s Museum of Contemporary Art's restaurant where you can eat. After lunch, start Your city tour of the highlights of Lima with a Local Expert . Enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of Lima’s ancient districts and visit the Church of San Francisco, the most notable group of colonial buildings in the city. Explore the impressive underground catacombs along with a religious art museum and extensive library.
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight to Cuzco. Here, meet our local team and drive into the Sacred Valley. We stop to visit an animal rescue sanctuary, in Cochahuasi where animals such as vicuñas, alpacas, llamas, and Andean condors are being protected. Then you will learn about the weaving and dyeing at the Awanacancha, Andean textile centre. Enjoy a box picnic lunch before exploring the vibrant handicraft market of Pisac. Visit a local chicheria to learn about chicha, a Local corn beer and favourite drink of the Andes. Arrive at your luxurious valley retreat in the heart of the Andes this afternoon.
This morning a scenic train journey followed by a bus ride brings you to the legendary ‘Lost City’ of Machu Picchu on a scheduled excursion. Set on a mountainous peak overlooking a deep canyon on the Urubamba River, the ancient Inca city is indeed one of South America’s most impressive sights. Be amazed by the incredibly well-preserved plazas, towers and temples as you enjoy a guided tour of Machu Picchu. Upon conclusion of your tour, we will transfer to you to the hotel.
Return to Machu Picchu and continue your exploration on your own (Entry tickets not included). Perhaps hike up to the Gate of the Sun for stunning views. Then travel back to the Sacred Valley by train and visit the Inca stronghold of Ollantaytambo. After, we drive back to the city of Cuzco for check into your hotel.
Enjoy a full day with our exploring what is considered the archaeological capital of South America, Cuzco is home to some of the finest examples of Inca history and architecture, which you will discover touring the sights of the Plaza de Armas, the Catedral and the Koricancha complex – a supreme example of Inca stonework. Head out further afield to tour the Kenko Amphitheatre, the fortified hunting lodge of Puca Pucara, the stunning imperial baths of Tambo Machay and the megalithic fortress of Sacsayhuaman. Last stop of the day, is La Casa Concha Museum, before returning to your hotel.

Say hasta luego to Peru this morning and transfer to the airport for your fight to Santiago, the fifth largest city in South America. After you arrival transfer, the evening is free for you to explore or relax at your hotel.
This morning we discover Santiago’s appealing blend of the old and new. Walking to the Plaza de Armas gaze at the handsome colonial architecture including the grandiose Catedral Metropolitana, the Post Office and the Santiago City Hall. Continue to the Government Palace and the older neighbourhood of Plaza Concha y Toro marked by cobblestone streets and elegant 20th century mansions. Then head for the Maipo Valley, Chile’s most traditional wine-producing region known for its premium wines. Visit an exclusive winery where you will enjoy a gourmet Regional Meal served alfresco on the beautiful grounds with wine tasting.

Fly south from the Chilean capital to Puerto Montt, one of Chile’s beautiful coastal ports. Then it’s on to Puerto Varas for an orientation tour of the “City of Roses” on the way to your lakeside hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy.
Your first stop is the Petrohue River to see the burbling waterfalls cascade over black volcanic rock. Then cross Todos Los Santos Lake with the mighty Osorno Volcano looming in the background. Keep an eye out for the giant Andean condor gliding over the lake. Back on land, it’s time to sit back and relax as you drive by breathtaking landscapes of snowcapped mountains, gloriously green forests and sapphire blue lakes. Stop for a delicious lunch in pretty Peulla before crossing the border into Argentina and enjoying a cruise on majestic Lake Nahuel Huapi to arrive in Bariloche.
Discover the natural wonders of one of Argentina’s prettiest areas, known as the “Switzerland of South America.” Meet your A Local Expert and travel along the “Circuito Chico” for spectacular views of forests, mountains and sparking waters in Nahuel Huapi National Park. Visit lovely Playa Bonita, soak up the scenery from the hilltop of St. Edward’s Chapel on the Llao Llao Peninsula, and ride a chairlift to the top of Cerro Campanario for sweeping views of the high peaks of Catredral and Tronador. This morning enjoy touring the city, taking in the Neoclassical Metropolitan Cathedral, the unusual dusty pink Government House and the history-packed Plaza de Mayo. Head to the neighbourhood of San Telmo where street performers gather to display the sensuous dance of tango, and continue to La Boca, a colourful suburb popular with local artists. Wander the attractive streets of Palermo until you reach Recoleta and the famous cemetery of the same name. Later in the evening you will be collected from your hotel for a transfer to Café de Los Angelitos for a night of love, passion, madness and glamour with a traditional tango dinner show.
Cross the Rio de la Plata by hydrofoil this morning. On the Uruguayan side, a A Local Expert takes you on a tour through the UNESCO World Heritagelisted historic district of charming Colonia del Sacramento. After a leisurely Regional Meal at a local restaurant, enjoy time to stroll through the exclusive art galleries and shops on your own. Return by hydrofoil to Argentina later this afternoon.
Enjoy a day at leisure to explore Buenos Aires your own way – wander the city’s many distinctive barrios on the hunt for colourful street art or head to the markets for some souvenir shopping. Prided as a literary city, Buenos Aires has a number of fabulous book shops worth checking out, often housed in revamped historical buildings.
After breakfast this morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Puerto Iguazu, your base for exploring the magnificent Iguazu Falls. Enjoy a full day excursion to the Argentinean side of the falls. A number of walking trails are available bringing you in front of or above the rapids. You’ll also see the dramatic Garganta del Diablo or Devil’s Throat, an awe-inspiring display of natural power.
This morning enjoy a tour of the Brazilian side of the falls, walking along catwalks that allow you to see the torrents of water at their most impressive. We then head to Brazil Iguazu Falls Airport for the flight to Rio. Here, our friendly local team await to transfer you to your hotel.
This morning our guided tour will take you to ascend Sugarloaf Mountain by cable car. From this vantage point the views of the city and bay are unforgettable. This afternoon is at leisure. Perhaps visit the bar that inspired the 1963 hit song Girl from Ipanema, or the Hippie Fair Crafts Market, an entertaining place to stroll for arts and crafts and people watch.
With our guide, board a classic cogwheel train for the journey to the summit of majestic Corcovado, site of the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Then continue your exploration of the cidade maravilhosa (marvelous city) and it’s many contrasts from the 18th century aqueduct and colonial Candelaria Church to the 20th century opera house, Sambodromo and city Cathedral.
