Day 1: Lima

Upon arrival into Lima International Airport, you will be met by our representative and escorted to your hotel. Our representative will assist you with check-in procedures and provide you with a detailed itinerary, vouchers covering all the services included in your tour and additional information on the organization of your Peru trip. You will also receive a contact information sheet with all the hotel details as well as our offices contact information for each city and a 24-hour emergency number. Day 2: Lima

This morning, the city of Lima will open its doors for a wonderful tour. As testament to this, today you can still see the imposing buildings that were constructed mainly in the city center. The most important buildings are located around the Plaza Mayor, the main one being the Government Palace where one can still observe the changing of the guard performed by the Húsares de Junín. Thanks to its well preserved architecture, Lima was declared a World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO. We will also enjoy contemporary Lima and the residential, commercial and financial districts of San Isidro and Miraflores. After the city tour, we will have the chance to enjoy a tour of this old Hacienda House in the Pueblo Libre district. Overnight at Jose Antonio Lima

Day 3: Lima - Cuzco

Transfer on time to Lima airport to board the flight to Cusco Upon arrival into Cusco Airport, you will be met by our representative and escorted to your hotel. Morning at leisure to rest in your hotel in order to avoid altitude sickness. This afternoon you will go on a private escorted sightseeing tour of the city of Cusco, archaeological capital of South America. Cusco also has the finest examples of Inca history and architecture. A visit of the city's most important historical monuments, The Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, the Koricancha Temple, and a visit to the surrounding ruins of the Kenko Amphitheater, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara, and Sacsayhuaman Fortress. After the tour you will be driven back to your hotel. Overnight at Jose Antonio Cusco

Day 4: Cuzco - Sacred Valley

We will visit the Sacred Valley and we will have a walk around the typical Indian market. We will have lunch in a local restaurant and then head to the Fortress and Citadel of Ollantaytambo through Calca and Urubamba. Ollantaytambo was built to protect the entrance of this part of the Valley and prevent the possible invasions of tribes from the jungle. The Citadel consists of a series of superimposed terraces. We will have the opportunity to walk among the town’s little streets and get a clear idea of what this military, religious and cultural center was like during the Inca Empire. Day 5: Sacred Valley - Aguas Calientes

Full Day excursion Chinheros, Maras & Moray. Visit Chinchero. An attractive church built during the Colony is the highlight of this village and on the inside hang lovely paintings from the Cusco School. Continue to Maras. Finally, visit Moray agricultural terraces. An impressive spectacle – a circular system of terraces, possibly used for agricultural experimentation. Lunch included on a local restaurant. Transfer to the train station for an amazing train journey to the famous Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu. Along the way you will enjoy the changing landscape as you travel from Andean highlands to the beginnings of the jungle (“eyebrow of the jungle”), before finally arriving at the town of Aguas Calientes. Day 6: Aguas Calientes - Cuzco

Full Day Machu Picchu. Early in the morning, 3hrs guided excursion to Machupicchu, the great mountain-top city abandoned by the Inca Empire, reclaimed by the jungle and lost to humanity until its rediscovery in 1911. It sits on a mountain site of extraordinary beauty, in the middle of a tropical mountain forest; Machu Picchu was probably the most amazing urban creation of the Inca Empire at its height, with its giant walls, terraces and ramps, which appear as though they have been cut naturally in the continuous rock escarpments. Lunch set menu in a local restaurant In the afternoon, return to by Expedition train and upon arrival at the train station you will be met by our representative and private driver for your transfer to the hotel. Day 7: Cuzco

Day 8: Cuzco - Puno

Transfer to the railway station for the train from Cusco to Puno. The Andean Explorer train is decorated in the style of the great Pullman trains of the 1920s. It includes dining cars and a bar with outdoor observatory. The Andean Explorer is one the most of luxurious and interesting ways of travelling between Cusco and Lake Titicaca. Day 9: Puno

After breakfast, we will head to the port of Puno where a yacht will be waiting for us and will take us to the floating islands of Uros. These beautiful islands are inhabited by fishermen and hunters. We continue our journey through Taquile Island. The peasant community of this island has kept intact the customs and traditions of their ancestors. Just after lunch, we will have a walk around and visit some archeological remains and the beautiful beaches from which we will have the chance to appreciate the immensity of the highest navigable lake in the world. Day 10: Puno - La Paz

Early land transfer to Copacabana Sanctuary, board the Catamaran Cruise Ship, snack on board while sailing to Sun Island, the legendary birthplace of the Inca Empire. Visit the Inca Garden, steps and fountain followed by the Inti Wata Cultural Complex including the Ekako Underground Museum, the traditional medicine and the Titikaka Reed Shipbuilders display centers, the Pachamama agricultural Inca terraces, a handicraft center, the Intica lounge and at the Manco Kapac look out the largest variety of Andean camelids. Catamaran Cruise Ship to Chua harbor while enjoying a lunch buffet on board, land transfer to La Paz at Presidente Hotel

Day 11: La Paz

Passengers are picked up from their hotels to visit the epic city of Tiwanaku, the capital of an ancient civilization. Located 72 km away form the city of La Paz and near the south-eastern shores of Lake Titicaca. In this ancient breath taking city we will visit the Kalasasaya (Sun) temple, Semisubterranean (Earth) Temple, Akapana Pyramid and the legendary Sun Gate. Afternoon City tour and Moon Valley We visit the famous Witch Doctor's Market, San Francisco Colonial Church and the typical handicrafts of the Sagarnaga Street.The tour continues to Plaza Murillo where the Cathedral, the Government Palace and the National Congress buildings are located. The tour ends with a visit to the unique Moon Valley. Overnight in La Paz at Presidente Hotel

Day 12: La Paz

Transfer on time to the airport to board the flight back to home
