Day 1: Lima

Upon arrival into Lima International Airport, you will be met by our representative and escorted to your hotel. Our representative will assist you with check-in procedures and provide you with a detailed itinerary, vouchers covering all the services included in your tour and additional information on the organization of your Peru trip. Overnight at Allpa Hotel

Day 2: Lima - Puerto Maldonado and the Amazon

Transfer on time to the airport to board the flight to Puerto Maldonado. Start your journey arriving to Puerto Maldonado and checking-in at the INKATERRA LOUNGE (BUTTERFLY HOUSE). Immerse yourself in the rainforest navigating on an outboard dugout canoe along the Madre de Dios River to Hacienda Concepción (approximately 25-minute navigation). After lunch, take a walk at CONCEPCIÓN TRAILS, our inside property nature trails, where you will discover and learn about primary and secondary rainforest, its components, uses, transformations by the human being, and its relevance for the world. At dusk navigate on canoe in the TWILIGHT RIVER excursion. Overnight at Hacienda Concepcion

Day 3: Puerto Maldonado and the Amazon

we start with long trek through terra firma in the Tambopata Reserve to LAKE SANDOVAL. Here you will understand why Madre de Dios is called the biodiversity capital of the world. Later on the INKATERRA CANOPY WALKWAY & ANACONDA WALK await for you. Take a 20-minute outboard-dugout canoe ride to the Inkaterra Canopy Walkway Interpretation Center. Ascend one of the two 98-foot towers (30 mts.) and cross the 7 hanging bridges that connect the treetops at 91 feet high (28 mts.). After descending keep on feeling the incredible primary rainforest vibe going for about 30 minutes along the 200-meter wooden bridge over the aguajales swamps. Overnight at Hacienda Concepcion

Day 4: Puerto Maldonado and the Amazon - Cuzco

After BREAKFAST buffet, take an outboard dugout canoe ride back to Puerto Maldonado. Arrive at the INKATERRA LOUNGE (BUTTERFLY HOUSE) where you may wait for your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival into Cusco Airport, you will be met by our representative and escorted to your hotel. Day at leisure to rest in your hotel in order to avoid altitude sickness. Overnight at Los Portales Cusco

Day 5: Cuzco - Inca Trail

Early morning we drive to Piskacuchu (2700m), a community located on the 82 kilometer of the Cusco –Machupicchu rail road, which is the starting point of the Inca Trail. We begin our hike by crossing the bridge over the Urubamba River and walking along its left shore as it flows Northwest along the Sacred Valley. We arrive in Miskay to then ascend and finally see from the tallest part of an overlook, the impressive Inca city of Llactapata. We continue trekking gradually climbing for about five hours until we reach the community of Wayllabamba , where we set our first camp. All along the way we enjoy spectacular views of the Vilcanota ridge on the opposite side of the Urubamba River, where the impressive Veronica peak reigns at 5832m

Day 6: Inca Trail

Early morning we begin the most difficult part of the trek, which consists of an abrupt and steep ascent that stretches for 9 km. Along this climb, the landscape changes from sierra to puna (a dry and high area with little vegetation). On the way to the first mountain pass, the Abra Warmihuañusca (Dead Woman´s Pass – 4200m). Immediately after the pass, we descend into the Pacaymayo valley (3600m), where we camp after approximately 7h of hiking

Day 7: Inca Trail

This day is the longest and the most interesting. From Pacaymayo we climb to the second pass, the Abra Runkurakay. Halfway up, we stop to visit the archaeological complex with the same name. Continuing up an easy climb, we arrive at the third pass, the Abra Phuyupatamarca. We go through an Inca tunnel to later arrive at the aforementioned pass and down to the complex of the same name. This is one of the most complete and best-preserved archaeological complexes along the Inca Trail, and is located on the highest point of a mountain. We continue our trek down the long descending stone steps that lead us to Wiñaywayna an impressive Inca complex made up of an agricultural center with numerous terraces, a religious sector, close to which our camp is located.

Day 8: Inca Trail - Cuzco

Today we get up at 4 am to leave Wiñaywayna an hour later and climb to The Sun Gate. This will take an hour of hiking along a trail of flat stones on the edges of cliffs in highland jungle. From Intipunku we descend into Machupicchu, and enter the citadel from the highest point through the¨House of the Guardians". We then descend to the control point where we register ourselves and leave our backpacks. We immediately begin a complete guided tour of the Inca citadel that will take two hours. You will then have free time to walk around. In the afternoon, we meet in the town of Aguas Calientes where, if you like, you can visit and relax in its hot springs. From here we take the train back to the city of Cusco. Overnight at Los Portales Cusco

Day 9: Cuzco - Puno

Transfer on time to the airport to board the regular bus to Puno Upon arrival in Puno, meeting service and transfer to the hotel Overnight in Puno at Eco Inn

Day 10: Puno - La Paz

Early land transfer to Copacabana Sanctuary, board the Catamaran Cruise Ship, snack on board while sailing to Sun Island, the legendary birthplace of the Inca Empire. Visit the Inca Garden, steps and fountain followed by the Inti Wata Cultural Complex including the Ekako Underground Museum, the traditional medicine and the Titikaka Reed Shipbuilders display centers, the Pachamama agricultural Inca terraces, a handicraft center, the Intica lounge and at the Manco Kapac look out the largest variety of Andean camelids. Also, the Inti Wata Complex at Sun Island includes a unique sailing experience aboard a huge Titikaka traditional vessel for a panoramic view to the Pilkokaina Inca Palace.Overnight at Presidente

Day 11: La Paz

Transfer to La Paz airport to board the flight to Uyuni Pick up from the airport and visit the Uyuni Salt Flat and Incahuasi Island. This island is located in the heart of the salt flat and is the greatest of a group of islands that represents an isolated ecosystem. The island is populated with a cacti species that measures up to 12 meters high (26.25 feet), providing an impressive overview. Lunch or Box Lunch. The trip continues towards Coquesa village, visit the Tunupa Volcano to visit the Coquesa Mummies. In the afternoon transfer to the Salt hotel. Dinner and overnight at Luna salada

Day 12: La Paz

Transfer on time to the airport to board the flight back to La Paz Upon arrival, meeting service and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at Presidente

Day 13: La Paz

Transfer on time to the airport to board your international flight.
