Day 1: Lima

Welcome to Lima! Upon arriving at the airport you will be transferred to your hotel where you have the day at leisure.

Day 2: Lima

For centuries Lima was considered the most beautiful city in Spanish America and today discover why with a morning sightseeing tour. Many of the city’s most imposing and important buildings were built around the Plaza Mayor in the heart of the old town. Here you’ll find the opulent facade of the Palacio de Gobierno, or Presidential Palace, where each day the ceremonial changing of the guard takes place. Nearby is the austere Catedral and various small palaces and balconied edifices. Discover contemporary Lima in the form of the suburb of San Isidro and lively Miraflores before continuing to Pueblo Libre to see the stylish hacienda museum. Days 3-5: Lima - Puerto Maldonado and the Amazon

Today you will be transferred to the airport where you will board a flight to Cuzco. Upon arriving in Cuzco you will be transferred to the Puerto Maldonado headquarters from where you will board a boat to Posada Amazonas. Upon arriving at the Lodge you can check in. Included in your stay is various activities to keep you occupied in the day and certainly tired by the evening. Activities included are Jungle walks, visit the Tambopata Reserve and much more. Day 6: Puerto Maldonado and the Amazon - Cuzco

Today you will be transferred by boat from Posada Amazonas to Tambopata River Port from where you will be transferred to Pto Maldonado headquarters and then finally to the airport from where you will board a flight to Cuzco. Upon arriving in Cuzco you will be transferred to your hotel where you have the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 7: Cuzco

Today morning you have at leisure. This afternoon you will go on a city tour and will have the opportunity to visit the nearby Ruins.

Day 8: Cuzco

Today you embark on a full day tour of the Pisac Market, Pisac Ruins and Ollantaytambo. The Ollantaytambo fortress was constructed in order to guard the entrance of the valley and protect it from invasions of tribes from jungle lowlands.

Day 9: Cuzco

Day at leisure.

Day 10: Cuzco - Machu Picchu

This morning you will be transferred to the tarin station where you will board a train to km.104 on the Cuzco- Machu Picchu railroad (starting point of the hike). You will start your hike from this point. Mysterious Machu Picchu, often called “The lost City of the Incas” is a stunning sight that will amaze and astound any visitor, and since it was not plundered by the Spanish when they conquered the Incas, it is especially important as a cultural site and is considered a sacred place. It was recently voted as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

Day 11: Machu Picchu - Cuzco

Early today morning you will catch a bus to Machu Picchu where you will visit the Inca Citadel. Afterwards you will have some free time to climb up the Huaynapicchu Mountain, where you will experience breathtaking views. later this afternoon you will meet your group in the town of Aguas Calientes where you can relax and visit the hot springs. From here you will travel to Cuzco.

Day 12: Cuzco - Lima

Today you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Lima. Upon arriving in Lima you will be transferred to your hotel where you have the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 13: Lima

Today we bid you farewell and transfer you to the airport for your onward flight home.
