Day 1: Lima

Bienvenidos a Peru! Welcome to Peru and the start of your journey through the land of the Incas. Upon arrival into Lima International Airport you will be met by one of our representatives and transferred to your hotel. After check in spend some time with our rep discussing your up-coming trip. The remainder of the day is free for you to enjoy at leisure

Day 2: Lima

For centuries Lima was considered the most beautiful city in Spanish America and today discover why with a morning tour. We explore the Plaza Mayor in the heart of the old town. Here you’ll find the opulent facade of the Palacio de Gobierno, or Presidential Palace, where each day the ceremonial changing of the guard takes place. Nearby is the austere Catedral and various small palaces and balconied edifices that helped Lima claim UNESCO World Heritage status. Discover contemporary Lima in the form of the plush suburb of San Isidro and lively Miraflores before continuing to the quiet district of Pueblo Libre.

Day 3: Lima - Puerto Maldonado and the Amazon

Early this morning board a flight to the remote jungle settlement of Puerto Maldonado - the starting point for a scheduled excursion into the Amazon Jungle. A boat ride along the Tambopata River brings you to your jungle lodge Hacienda Concepcion where you will spend the next three nights in a beautiful cabaña.

Day 4: Puerto Maldonado and the Amazon

A wide variety of excursions are on offer from guided walks through the jungle to twilight river cruises. Sail in small wooden canoes or test your vertigo on a canopy walkway. Over the today you will learn much about the Amazonian wildlife and its most colourful characters with excursions available to the Tambopata National Reserve, Gamitana Creek and the Inkaterra Ecological Reserve.

Day 5: Puerto Maldonado and the Amazon - Cuzco

After breakfast transfer to the airport by boat and transfer for your flight to Cuzco, known to the Incas as the ‘navel of the world’. Arriving here, meet our local team who will transfer you to your hotel.

Day 6: Cuzco

Explore the ‘navel of the world’ and discover why it’s considered the archaeological capital of South America. Your scheduled city tour takes in the Incan streets of Loreto and Ahuajpinta where you’ll find the remains of impressive Incan palaces, as well as old colonial buildings such as the Catedral. Later in the day, head to the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuaman and the ruins of Kenko, Tambomachay and the Tambo de Puca Pukara. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 7: Cuzco - Sacred Valley

Today you explore the region known as the Sacred Valley, starting with the textile centre of Awanacancha where the art of Incan textile is kept alive. Continue to the archaeological complex of Pisac, formed of a collection of remains of Incan dwellings, temples and terracing. Practise your bartering skills at the local market before stopping for lunch then continue to the impressive fortress and citadel of Ollantaytambo.

Day 8: Sacred Valley - Aguas Calientes

This morning a scenic train journey followed by a bus ride brings you to the legendary ‘Lost City’ of Machu Picchu. Set on a mountainous peak overlooking a deep canyon on the Urubamba River, the ancient Inca city is indeed one of South America’s most impressive sights. Be amazed by the incredibly well-preserved plazas, towers and temples as you enjoy a full days guided tour of Machu Picchu.

Day 9: Aguas Calientes - Cuzco

This morning you can opt to visit Machu Picchu at your leisure (bus ticket and entry ticket not included) Later at a local hotel in Aguas Calientes meet our rep who will assist in catching the train back to Cusco.

Day 10: Cuzco - Santiago

This morning we assist you to the airport in Cuzco where you catch your flight to Lima and from there you connect onto your flight to Santiago. Bienvenidos a Chile! Once you’ve arrived in Santiago you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 11: Santiago

This morning join a scheduled city tour taking in the Metropolitan Cathedral, the La Moneda Presidential Palace and the Plaza de Armas where artists randomly appear to make theatrical performances. Jump on the metro for a short ride to the magnificent Santa Lucia park and its unique castle. Continue to the Lastarria neighbourhood to marvel at the neoclassical architecture. In the afternoon head 35 minutes out of town to the Cousiño Macul Vineyard on a scheduled tour. Producing high quality wines in exclusive amounts, this vineyard is an excellent introduction to the wine production process and how technology is used alongside artisan traditions.

Day 12: Santiago

Today is spent on a trip exploring the coastal towns of Central Chile. Travel through wine country, stopping for a sample before arriving in the 'Garden City' of Vina del Mar. Visit the bohemian town of Valparaiso and the Pablo Neruda Museum before heading back to Santiago after a day of relaxed sightseeing.

Day 13: Santiago

Today we enjoy a full day spent exploring Chile’s Casablanca Wine Valley. Explore the winery on today’s guided tour, learn more about the wine making process, and, of course, sample some of Chile’s best wines.

Day 14: Santiago

Sadly your journey has come to an end, we will transfer you to the airport in time for your flight home.
