Day 1: Cuzco

Bienviendos a Peru! Welcome to Peru and the start of your journey through the land of the Incas. Upon arrival into Cuzco Airport you will be met by one of our representatives and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2: Cuzco

Cuzco is home to some of the finest examples of Inca history and architecture, which you will discover on a scheduled group tour this morning the sights of the Plaza de Armas, the Catedral and the Koricancha complex – a supreme example of Inca stonework, on an afternoon scheduled tour. Head out further afield to tour the Kenko Amphitheatre, the fortified hunting lodge of Puca Pucara, the stunning imperial baths of Tambo Machay and the megalithic fortress of Sacsayhuaman.

Day 3: Cuzco

This morning a scenic vistadome train journey followed by a bus ride brings you to the legendary ‘Lost City’ of Machu Picchu on a scheduled group tour. Set on a mountainous peak overlooking a deep canyon on the Urubamba River, the ancient Inca city is indeed one of South America’s most impressive sights. Be amazed by the incredibly well-preserved plazas, towers and temples as you enjoy a guided tour of Machu Picchu. Lunch at a local hotel follows before returning to Cuzco by vistadome train.

Day 4: Cuzco - Puerto Maldonado and the Amazon

Early this morning board a flight (flight not included) to the remote jungle settlement of Puerto Maldonado - the starting point for a scheduled excursion into the Amazon Jungle. A boat ride along the Madre de Dios River brings you to your jungle lodge where you will spend the next two nights in a beautiful cabaña. This afternoon enjoy the first of your jungle excursions which is typically a bit of hike in the forest and an evening boat ride to spot Cayman Crocodiles.

Day 5: Puerto Maldonado and the Amazon

Enjoy a full day of exploring the jungle on foot and by boat with the resident naturalist guide. As daylight wanes share your daily experience of life in the rainforest with your fellow guests with the captivating sounds of the jungle your soundtrack.

Day 6: Puerto Maldonado and the Amazon - Lima

Bidding farewell to the jungle head back to Puerto Maldonado by boat for your flight to Lima (flight not included). If there is time be sure to visit the Inkaterra Butterfly House located close to the airport. Peru boasts the greatest variety of butterflies in the world, many of which can be seen at the Butterfly House. Upon arrival in Lima you will be transferred to your hotel where the rest of the day is free. Perhaps head to the local markets for a spot of bargain hunting or mark your final night in Peru in style at one of Lima’s trendy salsa clubs.

Day 7: Lima - Iguazu Falls (Argentina)

This morning we will transfer you to the airport in time for your direct flight to Iguazu Falls in Brazil (IGU Airport) - flight not included.Arriving here, join a shared transfer to your hotel.

Day 8: Iguazu Falls (Argentina)

Enjoy a scheduled group tour full day excursion to the Argentinean side of the falls. A number of walking trails are available bringing you in front of or above the rapids. You’ll also see the dramatic Garganta del Diablo or Devil’s Throat, an awe-inspiring display of natural power.

Day 9: Iguazu Falls (Argentina) - Rio De Janeiro

This morning enjoy join a scheduled group tour of the Brazilian side of the falls, walking along catwalks that allow you to see the torrents of water at their most impressive. After, you will catch the shared shuttle service to the airport for your flight to Rio (flight not included). Arriving here in Rio, our driver is on hand to transfer you to your hotel.

Day 10: Rio De Janeiro

Enjoy a free day to explore Rio. You'll soon find there is plenty to see and do. There are trips up Sugar Loaf Mountain by cable car and Corcovado, with its famous Statue of Christ, for great city views. Another interesting journey is on the old tram system across the viaduct into the cobblestone neighbourhood of Santa Teresa. A walking tour of Rio's historic buildings is also a lovely way to pass an afternoon, or you may like to visit the Botanical Gardens or one of the famous beaches, such as Copacabana, Ipanema or Leblon.

Day 11: Rio De Janeiro - Angra dos Reis

This morning we will transfer you to the beach resorts South of Rio in the town of Angra Dos Reis. Arriving here, settle into your rooms and relax.

Days 12-13: Angra dos Reis

Sit back, relax and enjoy the sun, sand and sea!

Day 14: Angra dos Reis

Sadly your journey has come to an end, we will transfer you to Rio airport in time for your flight home.
