Day 1: Cuzco

Bienvenidos a Peru! Welcome to Peru and the start of your journey through the land of the Incas. Upon arrival into Cuzco Airport you will be met by one of our representatives and transferred to your hotel. After check in spend some time with our rep discussing your upcoming trip. The remainder of the day is free for you to enjoy at leisure.

Day 2: Cuzco

The Sacred Valley that you will explore today, was greatly appreciated by the Incas due to its special geographical and climatic qualities and as such contains numerous archaeological remains and villages. On the way to the ancient village of Urubamba stop to visit Awanacancha, an Andean textile centre. Continue to the archaeological complex of Pisac, formed of a collection of remains of Incan dwellings, temples and terracing. Enjoy a spot of shopping and practise your bartering skills at the local market before stopping for lunch. The day of touring concludes with a visit to the impressive fortress and citadel of Ollantaytambo.

Day 3: Cuzco

Today is at your leisure to explore Cuzco if you fancied something to do why not catch a collectivo south of the city to the ruins of Tipon or Pikillacta? Our local team can point you in the right direction.

Day 4: Cuzco - Aguas Calientes

This morning a scenic train journey followed by a bus ride brings you to the legendary ‘Lost City’ of Machu Picchu. Set on a mountainous peak overlooking a deep canyon on the Urubamba River, the ancient Inca city is indeed one of South America’s most impressive sights. Be amazed by the incredibly well-preserved plazas, towers and temples as you enjoy a guided tour of Machu Picchu.

Day 5: Aguas Calientes - Cuzco

Today you have the entire day to head back to Machu Pichu and explore at your leisure (Entrance ticket or shuttle from town to entrance not included, you need to pay locally) Later, you will meet up with our team who will show you to the station for the train ride back to Cuzco.

Day 6: Cuzco - Puno

Today sample more of Peru’s train network with a spectacular 10 hour rail journey to historic Puno. Passing the gentle, rolling Andean Plains where vicuña and alpacas roam freely, the train climbs to 4335m above sea level at La Raya, offering incredible views of the towering, snow-capped Andean mountains. During the journey you will be served a three course lunch in the dining car followed by coffee served in the observation-bar car. Arriving into Puno you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 7: Puno

Early morning: you will be picked up from your hotel for a land transfer to Copacabana. Board the Catamaran Cruise Ship to Sun Island, the legendary birthplace of the Inca Empire. Buffet Lunch on board. Visit Challapampa Village and enjoy of the participative tourism, visitors have the opportunity to interact with one of the most unspoiled indigenous Titicaca villages through an innovative program organized with the local community visiting their own museum, chapel, school, a typical house, sailing in their vessels to an Inca holy temple and walking through Inca trails. (OVERNIGHT ON CATAMARAN CRUISE)

Day 8: Puno - La Paz

During breakfast enjoy sailing and the overwhelming panorama visiting the Pilkokaina Inca Palace. Continue to the Inti Wata Cultural Complex including the Ekako Underground Museum, the traditional medicine and the Titikaka Reed Shipbuilders display centers, the Pachamama agricultural Inca terraces, the Intica lounge and at the Manco Kapac look out the largest variety of Andean camelids. Visit the Inca Garden, steps and the Inca fountain Also, the Inti Wata Complex at Sun Island includes a unique sailing experience aboard a huge Titikaka Traditional vessel. Disembark in Chua harbor. Land transfer to La Paz city.

Days 9-10: La Paz

Today and tomorrow are at your leisure to explore the city. You can also book trips to Moon Valley or ride the worlds most dangerous road to Coroico with one of the many local operators located in the historic centre.

Day 11: La Paz - Uyuni / Salar De Uyuni Region

This evening we will take you to the bus station for catching the overnight bus destined for Uyuni. (DEP:-21:00)

Day 12: Uyuni / Salar De Uyuni Region

Today we will visit the amazing salt flats. Here we will see the "ojos del sal" where water is bubbling up through holes in the Salar, we will see where local workers gather salt into mounds and visit Isla Incahausi (also referred to as Isla Pescado) where we will find giant cacti and have great panoramic views of the surrounding salt flats. After leaving the salt flats we will visit the town of Colchani to see how the salt is processed and you can also visit the Train Cemetery for the final stop. OVERNIGHT IN COLCHANI

Day 13: Uyuni / Salar De Uyuni Region

We depart on this second day after breakfast around 8 am. We will travel through the incredible scenery taking in see surreal rock formations, sulphurous smells and pass by high altiplano lakes. In the evening we arrive in the town of Ojo de Perdiz where we will stay the night. (OVERNIGHT IN OJO DE PERDIZ)

Day 14: Uyuni / Salar De Uyuni Region - Santiago

This morning head towards the geysers "Sol de Mañana" to witness the bubbling hot mud pools and shooting of steam many meters into the air. Passing incredible various coloured lakes we proceed to pass customs into Chile, and a transfer will take you straight to Calama Airport for your flight to Santiago. Arriving into Santiago we have a driver waiting who will take you to your hotel.

Day 15: Santiago

Heading out of the city today we proceed a little north to visit the smaller cities of Casablanca and Valparaiso, including visiting some of the prominent wineries in the region, for a spot of tasting and learning about the process of growing and fermenting grapes to wine.

Day 16: Santiago

Sadly your journey has come to an end, we will transfer you to the airport in time for your flight home.
